Soco House

I had a really good experience at Soco House. From the moment I arrived, the staff were lovely, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Check-in was easy, smooth and quick, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of the room — spacious, modern, and secure. Th location is also perfect, close to many of the places I intended on visiting and also in walking distance to several restaurants and bars. I’m definitely staying here again and recommend Soco House to anyone visiting St. Lucia looking for comfort, quality, and great service.

Excellent service - Great and classy kitchen - Comfortable rooms - Great pool bar - Smiley staff - Great taste in the very stylish location. Thank you to Chester at the Pool Bar for his kindness and professionalism. Near the mall and the harbour - in front of the hotel you can find a nice beach but it doesn't belong to the property.

Overall, the hotel has charm and a lot of potential, but it definitely needs some updates. While the room was clean, it felt quite outdated and didn’t match the photos on the website. There was no outlet in the bathroom for a blow dryer or electric toothbrush, which was inconvenient. The shower lacked a curtain, a shelf for toiletries, and a handrail, and the fixed shower head caused water to spray everywhere. The balcony door didn’t close properly due to condensation issues, and the lock was not functional. Additionally, there were no instructions for using the safe, and I had to call the front desk for help. The food service was quite slow—even something as simple as getting a water refill was a challenge. For an all inclusive I should be able to access food at any time of the day. Beware the meals are at a set time and once dinner service is over, there are no options. While some staff were pleasant, others seemed unhappy and appeared bothered by basic questions. Most concerning, a member of the bar staff made inappropriate advances that left me feeling extremely uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel for solo female travellers. Despite some challenges during my stay, I really enjoyed the charm of the smaller, more laid-back hotel atmosphere and its older, classic vibe. I met so many wonderful people from Canada, the UK, and the USA, which truly added to the experience. While beach loungers were sometimes hard to come by around the pool area, I had no trouble finding a spot on the rooftop deck—just a heads up that there’s no shade up there, which was totally fine for me. The beach itself is beautiful, and I’d recommend heading out early to claim a good spot. Keep in mind that it's a public beach, so you may encounter a number of vendors, some of whom can be quite persistent when selling their goods. A special thank you to Darnell, Warner, Jeramine, Ambrose, Misto, Eloise, and Duwan. These incredible team members went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable—they work so hard and truly made a difference in my experience.

We chose this hotel because it is Adults only and small. On the positive side, the hotel was spotless and our room was serviced to a high standard every day. Staff were always helpful and accommodating. Work has been done to refurbish the hotel over the last few years but in some areas not to a high standard especially in the rooms. Our room the chest of drawers had been painted so one draw stuck and one the handle kept pulling off. In the shower area where it had been pained there was paint and cement all over the floor tiles. Everyone seems to have an issue with no instructions for the safe. Our television and fridge did not work but this did not bother us just little details that can be annoying. My biggest gripe was food being served up cold or Luke warm. This was addressed with the manager and by the end of the holiday they made sure our meals came up hot. Like others have pointed out there is a lack of sun beds and umbrellas and those available are past their sell by date. The new manager was happy to listen to concerns and will hopefully make changes. This could be a lovely small hotel with a few changes. Be prepared for a long transfer especially if you hit the rush hour.

Awesome resort with great staff, deelish food and yummy drinks. Meals are a la carte but you can order extra and alcohol were both domestic and international. Cabanas and pool chairs readily available but no need to rent a cabana at $30US, first come first served as long as no RESERVED signage. 15 minute walk to town, safe and many restaurants,bars and clubs plus a mall. 3 minute walk to the beach { turn left out of resort and turn right at police station}. The One { Dejuan} will assist you with your chairs as he will see you with blue towels. Ask for a cooler at the resort to bring water/beer/ice and reminder, $1US to use bathroom. Otherwise you can walk back to resort to restock your cooler and use the WC. You can make reservations for supper but not needed, only 1 restaurant and 1 pool on site. Great time but very quiet atmosphere which was what we were looking for. Also make sure to visit the rooftop bar, especially at sunset. Met many fellow Canadians, some UK and some US guests. It was a 2 hour drive from airport but great way to see the country, plus we stopped at a Scenic View for some pics and cold beer. { local brand was Piton}. Patrick Eugene is a local honest cab driver who is always out front for any excursions.

The food at SoCo House was excellent! Lunch and dinner menus rotated every two days, so there was always something new to try. Most meals were really tasty and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Eloise, the restaurant manager—she somehow remembered every guest’s name and made dining feel personal and warm. It really made the experience stand out! Overall, lovely and welcoming staff!
