However it was clean and well maintained The best thing about this hotel is the location. The view from our room on the harbour side was so stunning and impressive. However, the size of the room was too small and inconvenient. So overall, I'd give it about 4 out of 5 stars."

"Convenient location next to the ICC, 80m walk from Convention Tram station, 10-15 min walk from Central station. The hotel is clean, modern, with good amenities including comfy slippers. Easy walk to Darling Square and China Town, highly recommended!"

"Superb location! Hyde Park and the cathedral are conveniently located right across the street, and the art gallery is also incredibly easy to access. A train station is right at the doorstep. The shopping district is within walking distance in the other direction, and the ferry terminal is also just a stroll away. To get to Sydney University, you can simply hop on a bus from across the street. The service was incredibly warm and welcoming, ensuring a fantastic stay."

"In short, Pullman Hyde Park Sydney is a great hotel with a gym and pool that offer good views. The rooms are clean, and the location is perfect for accessing all the famous tourist spots. We stayed for 5 nights at Pullman Hyde Park Sydney in mid-May. We arrived at the hotel around 10 AM, which was earlier than the scheduled check-in time. We requested an early check-in at the concierge; however, we were informed that no rooms were available until 1 PM. This was understandable, given our early arrival. While waiting, we appreciated the water dispenser and snacks available for guests. One downside was that the hotel had only three lifts, which were insufficient for the number of guests. One lift even broke down, and the other two were quite slow. We booked a Superior King Room with a Hyde Park view, which was lovely. The room was clean, with no odors or stains. However, our first room was missing disposable slippers and had a broken phone. The staff quickly sent a technician and arranged for us to move to a higher floor with a functioning phone. They were responsive, but we had to move our luggage ourselves, as they were unable to assist with that. (It was around 6pm so they may be short-staffed at that moment.) We spent some time at the gym, but unfortunately, the drinking water ran out around 6 PM. We called the concierge to have it replenished, but no one arrived by the time we left. The pool was decent, and there was also a jacuzzi. However, the jacuzzi was located right next to the gym and in front of the glass entrance, so anyone coming out of the elevator could see you enjoying it, which may or may not be a concern for some guests. A highlight was running on the treadmill while enjoying the stunning sunset over the city skyline—it was spectacular. The location was fantastic! The major bus stops were just a 6-minute walk away, providing easy access to Bondi Beach, Central Station, and Darling Harbour .etc. It was also only a 15-20 minute walk to the harbour, which made exploring the area very convenient. Overall, while I believe there are cheaper options with similar location advantages, the cleanliness at Pullman Hyde Park was notably better than those alternatives."

"At first glance, this hotel makes an excellent impression, it’s conveniently located in the city center, close to many attractions. The staff is helpful and friendly, the rooms are quite spacious and stylish, and there're beautiful views of downtown. That said, everything else is a bit off - breakfasts are disappointingly lacking in variety, the chairs are extremely hard to move on the carpet, towels are linty, in the bathroom - the sink is the only place to put your phone, and shampoo is fixed in the shower stall with no way to take it to the tub (do people not wash their hair in tubs here?). It’s impossible to have dim lighting since the lamps shine right in your eyes. The furniture, while stylish is a bit old and creaky and the trash bins are ridiculously small and awkward to open. Yet the hotel offers good value for money in central Sydney, and the staff truly deserves praise. Just consider twice if minor annoyances could bother you and destroy your nerves."

"We were supposed to stay for 4 days but ended up extending for our one week vacation in Sydney! The rooms are big, we need to transfer to another room as we extended our stay and had to do another booking. It was a busy week due to the vivid Sydney but they are still able to find us a room. There is a famous restaurant on the lower floor and also a place where kids can hangout with gadgets and a pool table. It’s very convenient and just walking distance to the Darling Harbour as well as the city proper. There are a lot of convenience store around as well as restaurants. Will book here when we come back to Sydney and recommend this to family and friends."

"My stay at The Porter House Hotel was largely a positive experience! The hotel boasts a nice and new interior design, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. While breakfast came at an additional cost, it was definitely worth it for the good taste. I also appreciated the convenience of having shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in the room, and the daily room cleaning service was excellent. We did encounter a minor issue when the electricity in our room went off due to a burnt-out light bulb. Although this unexpected interruption lasted for about an hour, the staff were incredibly nice and responsive, arriving promptly to fix the problem. Their quick action minimized the disturbance. Overall, despite the small electrical blip, I had a good stay and would recommend The Porter House Hotel for its modern amenities and attentive service."
