Welcome to Okareka Lakestay. A comfortable renovated home. 2 bedroom's in the main home and a large sleep out in the garage. Only a couple of leisurely minutes walk to Lake Okareka Jetty, and a few more minutes to the boat ramp and Boyes beach. The house is well equipped, there is an inside mountain bike storage area, a large garden with swings for the kids, fruit trees and plenty of off street parking. Great location for summer
Close to the lake, with a lovely outlook, specially when it's warm enough to sit out on the deck and enjoy the birds. Lots of heaters are provided, so while it was warm enough when using these in May, we found the sleepout and downstairs bedroom a bit musty, and it would be good to have warmer bedding for winter. Kitchen was well equipped, and very accessible nearby host. Size is smaller than it appears in photos.

Didn't suit us unfortunately
Lake Okareka is a great location but our enjoyment here was limited by uncomfortably hard mattresses making it difficult to sleep, difficult access for boat and not much to do inside. Fortunately the weather was good enough for boating and mountain biking so we didn't spend much time at the bach itself. Even though there is room for 8 sleeping the living areas would be large enough to accommodate this number of people. Also had mice in the rubbish and downstairs on the first night.

Great Location
Awesome location, close to the boat ramp, close to the bike park, walks to beach/lake, surrounds. We enjoyed our stay very much and would/will stay again

Great modern bach
Bach is nicely renovated and clean and has everything you need. Hosts are super friendly. Short drive from Rotorua and 5min walk from the lake. Can highly recommend staying here!

Loved it!
We loved our stay here and enjoyed every minute of it.
The place the located in the right place with the lake down the road and it was very warm.
Rich was very accomodating and very responsive. Thank you so much for being the bestest host.
Would recommend to anyone else and we will be back.

Nice cottage in Okareka
Rich went out of his way to make sure our stay was smooth and to tell us about the area. The third bedroom sleep out is separate so it was not an option for our younger kids.
