Our first time in the snow and in Ainola we had an awesome time! Merja and Jari made our time in Rovaniemi unforgettable and most relaxing. The house was comfy and well equipped. If we had any questions about what so ever Merja and Jari had an answer for

Our experience was more than amazing. The place is stunning with a great view to wake up to. We had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to snow equipment. In front of the house was a perfect fire place/tent which we used every night. The sauna room

High-quality accommodation in peace of nature by a large and fishy lake.
55 km to the east from Rovaniemi city center, lake Vanttausjärvi 110 m (length 5.8 km, width 2.5 km), shallow beach, sand bottom, beach is suitable for children, campfire site on the beach, lawn yard. Rowing boat available for rent from the owner (100 e/booking, life jackets included). An electric outboard motor (50 e/booking) and a 4 hp outboard motor (100 e/booking) can also be rented from the owner.
Stone-built house, built in 1964, completely renovated and modernized in 2019. Living room (possibility for an extra bed 90 x 200 cm on the sofa), kitchen. 2 bedrooms with two beds (widths 120 cm and 90 cm), third bedroom with 2 x 90 cm wide beds.
Sauna, washroom and separate toilet.
Wireless internet and free Netflix available.
The living room has an electric fireplace, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. An air source heat pump can also be used for cooling in summer.
Bed linen (sheets and towels) can be booked for an additional fee.
For an extra charge, the atmospheric barrel sauna on the beach can be used during your stay for. In the courtyard of Ainola, by the shoreline, there is a 22 m² Arctic log cabin (kota) where it’s pleasant to spend time together by a fire and BBQ.
The owner's traditional farm within 100 meter distance. The farm has therapy sheep and chickens that move freely in the yard. Because of this, guests' pets are not allowed.
Lake Vanttausjärvi is well suited for fishing customers. The lake has fish species like pike, whitefish, vendace, etc. The launching site for small boats is on the shore of the cabin (waterfront can be accessed with trailer), for larger boats, the launching site is 500 m away. Public boat ramp and lean-to shelter 3.5 km.
