The Runnymede on Thames

It was an amazing experience from start to finish the staff were fantastic, very understanding & accommodating to all my needs as forever grateful & would highly recommend.

The hotel charged guests 50 GBP for checkout at 12:30! Despite bills paid in advance and notified front desk of leaving at noon time next day ！

Room dated , cracked ceiling, wall paper coming off the wall . Service was shocking in the bar area . Not worth the money .

Quite frankly, by day 2 we had fallen in love with the place, all staff on all sections were brilliant. All facilities were clean, well maintained and up to spec. Indoor pool, outdoor pool, 2 saunas, ice plunge pool, tennis courts, orchard and children's play area. There is also archery, bike hire and even boat hire so you can have a little trip on the river. We didn't do breakfast but there is a lovely little coffee bar with pastries and for the evening meal the main restaurant operates a buffet style with about 30 options so you could try a little bit of everything. The quality of the food was also very good. Finally I'll just mention that my partner enjoyed a couple of treatments at the spa and said her experience was superb. Just returned from 2 day stay @ Runnymede. Absolutely amazing in almost every possible way - the food, the decor, the bathroom/toilet facilities were all 11 out of 10. The spa and indoor swimming pool outstanding. As fit 75 year olds, the joy of playing tennis on the new courts and plunging into the outside 40/50 metre pool was wonderful. The staff are a credit to you. Adore your planting schemes around the grounds. Sorry, there is a but. Where’s the dancing sessions. Dance is a really big Warners draw and normally there is an hour record request session every afternoon where waltz, cha cha, jive, line, sequence is enjoyed, repeated @ 7.30 for another hour just before resident band. The resident band although amazing, didn’t cater for 80% of the age of the audience - sorry. The hotel and everything about it is great - but dancing is a must.
