Thristy Falls provide a relaxing get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and it's just a short trip from Johannesburg. The accommodation is well suited for families or friends that need some quiet time, but also allow for nature to be part of your stay.

Lovely quiet cottage, surrounded by indigenous flora. Birdlife was great! Well kitted cottage, comfortable beds. All was clean and Jenny was a lovely host. Would certainly stay again, next time I am in the area.

For a city escape, Thirsty Falls is the most relaxing escape into the country. The peaceful surrounds is sure to rejuvenate oneself. Wake to the sounds of birds and the call of the baboons! :) Thank you Jenny and Alan - as always, you are the most gracious hosts.

I enjoyed my stay thirsty falls, Allan and Jenny are very welcoming hosts😊, Jenny has impeccable designing taste, the room was decorated to perfection! Lovely king sized bed with a beautifull comforter and very comfy pillows, when we arrived there were lovely smelling soaps and fresh towels on arrival, the kitchen was a dream come true more than what was expected, We loved the gas hob and microwave and large fridge, everything we needed to cook or braai was provided, I escpecially enjoyed the bath and endless hot water😏We had a couple of peacefull barbecues on the verandah facing the mountain, would definitely recommend this to couples or anybody that needs a break, just make sure you take extra bug spray(as with any mountain retreat) Thank-you Allan and Jenny for the wonderfull retreat! We will be back soon!

Is it's an action-packed, children-centric holiday venue you're after, then Thirsty Falls is not for you. But if it's peace and solitude you need, surrounded by the grandeur of the African bush, with bird calls for company and a magnificent mountain backdrop, then Thirsty Falls is highly recommended. Alan and Jenny, the hospitable owners, are unobtrusively available to assist when needed. The well appointed chalets are very comfortable and lend themselves to the enjoyment of a tranquil bush break.
