Enjoy staying in an early 1800s log cabin with modern amenities. The Red Roof Cabin has a wrap around porch overlooking the stream, a full kitchen and bath, one large bedroom upstairs and wooded trails just steps away.
Our focus at The Preserve at Maple Creek is on relaxation and reconnecting with nature. During your stay enjoy private access to multiple trails from mild to moderate difficulty, a working bell tower, walkable labyrinth pathway, creeks, multiple benches, and miles of forest land. We offer wifi access on the property. A Smart TV is provided with internet access via a private satellite internet service.
As of September 1, 2025, PETS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED. If you booked a stay prior to that date, we will honor your pet request.
Within a short drive, you can visit the Thermal Belt Rail Trail, Chimney Rock State Park, Chimney Rock Village, the International Equestrian Center, Lake Lure, South Mountain State Park and multiple vineyards.
Use of event space such as the Glass Chapel and Event Room is not included but is availabe for rental during your stay. Inquire with owner. Visit our site https://thepreservemaplecreek.com/

In consideration of acceptance of this reservation, you understand NO swimming is allowed and that hiking is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with hiking. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from hiking and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that hiking may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person hiking if a person has health risks, or if a person hikes while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from hiking. Rustic AND comfortable :) Nestled in the woods AND close to town. Lovely property with walking trails and scenic spots to enjoy. Within minutes of the Thermal Belt Trail - excellent bike/walk trail. Perfect for couples, nature lovers and small-town enthusiasts.

This was not our first stay really enjoy every time. I would have given 5 stars except the place had not been cleaned very well. Floors not swept and found cat hairs on upstairs pillows.

Wonderful weekend stay!

Beautiful cabin
Spend two nights at this beautiful cabin, property is as described by the host. Hosts put a lot of effort in making their guest feel comfortable, like the touches , nice towels ,, two water bottles and chocolate left at the counter , again thanks ! The trails were nice to explore , I would consider staying again.

Peaceful Rustic Setting
This was our third stay at the Preserve at Maple Creek and we will keep coming bac.k!
The occasion was a Celebration of Life and Laura was very accommodating with extra bed linens for our son. We loved sitting out on the porch listening to the gurgling creek
