Fairfield Inn & Suites Olean

Rooms are a bit outdated but most importantly My room is comfortable and clean I have no issues everything up to par. Guest service agent was kind and helpful. With a nice update this hotel could be so much more but for now it is what you need it to be clean and comfortable:)

Very nice hotel with excellent customer service. The hotel is in a good location- right across from Saint Bonaventure University. There are several restaurants nearby and a Walmart or Aldi’s if you need to purchase snacks for the room. We stayed New Years Eve and had requested early check in. We didn’t want to be on the roads too late and wanted to be able to settle in, get dinner, and ring in the New. year. The staff were exceptionally accommodating. We stayed in a King Suite. The room was much larger than I expected and very nice, very clean and very comfortable. We had 2 televisions, and a decent sized bathroom. Tye bed was very comfortable and there was non noise from traffic or other guests. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel on May25/24 Front desk agent was very polite and friendly. Check in was quick and easy. We got into the room and it was a nice big room and clean or so i thought. Unpacked and went to go to bed and the bottom sheet had blood stains on it. Went to the front desk and were told the only option was to move rooms. We moved rooms and it was fine. Breakfast in the morning was great Told the front desk agent about the blood and he told me to reach out to the general manager who is quick to respond to customers 10 days have pasted and 2 emails i have sent to him and no response Will upload the picture of the blood stains

Pros The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. The extra features of having Internet TV with connection to Prime and Netflix via your own account is nice. Overall, the room was clean, including the bathroom. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We used the pool without any incident and towels were well stocked in both this area as well as the gym. Breakfast has several hot options as well as traditional breads, pastries, and cereal. The coffee was excellent; kudos to them for having two versions of non-dairy milk. cons For a Marriott, this hotel is lacking attention to detail. The rooms feel somewhat dated as well as having portions requiring some repair. I was surprised the rooms did not have any dedicated USB charging except for using the TV. While the shower was stocked with shampoo and conditioner, the body wash was very low. The carpet on the stairwell, which I acknowledge is not the primary way of accessing your floor, was dingy and has been at other visits. Someone attempted to clean the elevator doors, but they were significantly smudged. I recognize none of these things are extremely significant, but at the price point, and given that the hotel seemed to be totally booked, and often seems to be very well booked, I would expect more.

I have been staying here every month for over a year, I have spoken with the GM ( Rodney DeFiore) many times about fixing the TV guide for the guests and it still hasn’t happened. All it takes is a call to your cable company and they will come and reprogram the system and for some reason it hasn’t happened. I spoke to him about it last month and he acted like it was a big deal and couldn’t make the call. When I parked my truck this month I noticed several beer bottles and 6packs around the fire pit so I thought “ great glad it’s working “. Went inside to check in.I tried checked in and the person behind the counter was never trained to check someone in with a credit card authorization that was faxed in by my company. She had to call someone to figure out how to do it. The second night I stayed I went out for dinner and it was a nice day great temperature outside so I walked to & from dinner, on the way back I figured I would go hang out by the fire pit. Well it was never clean up and the fire pit didn’t even work. I had to go inside to get a new battery for the igniter and it still didn’t light. I took some of the trash/paper that was left there lit it and tried to start it and it still didn’t work. I have pictures to prove all of this. This hotel is definitely not being run by Marriott standards!

Nice hotel.. pool terrible.. pool area toxic chlorine smell needs lots of maintenance Breakfast was excellent for a quick bite Room was adequate, clean would recommend if not going to use pool As I swim daily indoors this was truly unacceptable Couldn’t complain to staff as I was a guest of someone
