Super hôtel, sympa et de qualité. Très confortable, y compris la chambre de base. Salle de bain extra.Magnifiques jardins et piscine. Petit déjeuner top. Pour 120/nuit en septembre, imbattable ! Et en plus le patron est disponible, serviable et de très bon conseil.

Good location for exploring the island. In centre of village opposite the small market place. Small market every morning, fresh fish, cheese, fruit and veg and bread stalls. Quiet apart from the impressive church bells! Hotel staff friendly and some English spoken. Lovely breakfast patio over looking the garden. Good selection of breakfast items including bacon and scrambled egg and freshly squeezed orange juice. Natural swimming pool was very refreshing. No air con but our room had very good fan with refreshing mist function. Would recommend.

Le Chat Botte is a beautiful boutique hotel in the quieter, northern part of Ile de Re. As a previous reviewer has said, it is a good hotel, but it could be great. We were staying here, a family of five, in a large double and a triple room, during extremely hot weather. Unfortunately, there was nothing in the rooms, that offered any relief from the heat. There is no air conditioning which is arguably an eco-friendly move, but neither was there a fan or a small fridge to keep anything cool. The hotel is right next to the church, who’s bells ring surprisingly often, from 7am, so sleeping with the windows open meant an early wake up call. The breakfast was expensive at 14 euros each, for essentially a continental breakfast. We only had this on one day but when we came to check out we found that we had been charged for four days. The shower in our room was a hand held shower over the bath, with nowhere to fix the shower over your head. The frustrating aspect is that it would not take much to rectify any of these issues and it would have made for a much more comfortable stay, particularly given the temperatures. On the plus side, the rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable and there is a lovely garden with a pool and loungers.

Très déçu par cet hôtel. Les 2 femmes qui gèrent l’hôtel ne sont pas du tout faites pour ce métier. Vous êtes accueillis avec le strict minimum, le bonjour est difficile, il n y a aucune interaction avec le client quand il arrive. « Avez vous fait un bon voyage? Avez vous besoin de quelque chose? » rien… et si vous attendez un sourire, vous pouvez attendre longtemps ! Quant aux chambres, on est loin de ce à quoi on peut s attendre… literie à changer, le matelas est tout mou avec un creux au milieu, insonorisation catastrophique ( vous partagez tout avec vos voisins), et la chambre aurait besoin d’être entièrement refaite. C est plus que désuet. L’hôtel a perdu tout son prestige. Seul point positif : le jardin et la piscine sont bucolique . La jeune fille au petit déjeuner est tres gentille, le seul sourire de la journée

Un véritable havre de Paix dans ce très joli village . Décoration, jardin, piscine , chambre donnant sur le jardin…cosy, propres , silencieux … Un Spa et une esthéticienne sympathiques et compétente. Un accueil courtois , un parking à dispo , un petit dej très complet bref tout y est . Nous reviendrons .

Quelle déception ! Je pensais retrouver l accueil et le charme offerts des années durant par les deux propriétaires à l élégance indéniable . J ai voulu découvrir ce que leur départ pour une retraite méritée avait offert comme transformations . Horrible !! Le patio a subi un désastre , toutes les magnifiques plantations et arbustes offrant fraîcheur et apaisement ont été supprimés. J ai été accueilli par une personne sans grande distinction , et alors que je souhaitais montrer à mon amie le jardin luxuriant dont je lui avais parlé , on m a répondu d aller sur le site en guise d accueil !! La clientèle habituée au Chat Botté d antan doit désormais oublier ce lieu qui fut un petit paradis .
