Perfect two day stay. The place is lovely and peaceful but well placed to visit St Germain by bike (walking would be less convenient). The concept is great: very welcoming and relaxing. We played ping pong, billiards, watched a film in the cinema, read our books on the loungers in the vast garden, enjoyed the great food and went for a run in the woods. The staff were all friendly and helpful : I liked being treated like a human being rather than a customer……..thank you so much for our staycation (we only live 17km away 😀).

We have experienced all-inclusive stay in France for the first time. And in this hotel that was amazing. We spent here few days. Hotel is located in beautifull place far from the city noise, and you can enjoy fresh air and nature beauty even in hotel territory. Impressive hotel interior, equiped with good design. Superior food served many times during a day. Staff very attentive and helpful, altought only few could communicate in english. Superior double room spacious, very comfortable bed, clean. Nice walking directions to Saint Germain: in ca 6km forest walking trip you can reach castle, enjoy impressive Paris views on a way and come back to hotel. I would recommend this hotel especially for families with small children, there are a lot of activities for them.

I recently attended an off-site meeting at Maison du Val with my colleagues. What a beautiful place. Charming, sophisticated and ancient, yet breathing simplicity, warm hospitality and impeccable service. I highly recommend this place for work retreats, couple or family week-ends or glamping. How nice to walk on those beautiful grounds among centennial trees! Some parts of the estate are preserved for wilderness and biodiversity. A special mention to the chef who has prepared excellent treats for us and who has warmly welcomed all of his guests.

Everything was so perfect at Maison du Val that it made it hard to go back to real life :) Warm welcome, lots of entertainment on the premises (both for adults and kids), beautiful design and landscape. Would love to go back soon!

Coincidence is the spice of life! I happen to read a small write up on Elle magazine about this place, on the same day I was invited to do hike at the amazing forest at Saint- Germain-en-Laye, so I figure why not spend the night. This lovely Chateau does not disappoint, beautiful entry, easy ride from the train station and right by the forest. François was most welcoming and took us to the outstanding library while we waited for our room to get ready. They had a complimentary refreshments available which made us feel right at home. Ours was probably the entry level room, but is was fresh, modern and a decent size, with excellent bed and bedding, and luxurious robes provided for our stay. Bathroom was fresh and bright with great shower and deliciously soft towels. Dinner was very good, though dessert needs a little work. The breakfast buffet was lovely, and the Jura coffee machine was definitely a huge plus. Thank you for the special attention given, by I believe the chef. We loved the vibe and the excellent warm service given by the staff. I will most likely return.

La formule buffet est séduisante sur le papier, vous devez payer à la réservation mais il faut déchiffrer des lignes inexistantes pour les conditions d'annulation. A notre arrivée à 20h, on nous accompagne dans une salle grouillante d'enfants et on nous dit que le concept est de faire comme à la maison. les buffets d'apéritif et d'entrée et de dessert sont quasiment vides. Heureusement que les plats au barbecue ont relevé quelque peu le niveau. Notre table n'a jamais été débarrassée, nous avons fini le repas avec une pile d'assiettes sales au milieu de la table. Le personnel est difficilement identifiable et peu avenant.

Très bel édifice avec un grand parc. Des jeux en extérieur pour les enfants pour que les parents soient tranquilles, d'autres en intérieur pour petits et grands. Brunch le dimanche avec assez de choix pour tous les goûts. Les enfants bien entendu ont préféré les croissants et autres viennoiseries ce qui fait que le prix enfant est un peu cher, même si les softs étaient à volonté. Le dimanche de Pâques il y avait du gigot d'agneau que je n'ai vu qu'après le dessert car étant très poisson je m'étais orienté sur les plats à base de fruits de mers et de poisson. Les desserts semblaient bons vu la taille des assiettes des clients. Le choix de vins était par contre décevant, blanc, rosé et rouge venant du Languedoc . Il y a de bons vins dans notre région mais ceux-ci n'étaient même pas dignes d'être dans le milieu de gamme! Il y avait aussi un bordeaux que je n'ai pas goûté et un prosecco Martini qui était lui correct. Compte tenu du prix du déjeuner ma note prend en compte l'environnement et les jeux / activités disponibles pour les enfants. Peut être ai-je la dent dure pour le rapport qualité / prix car je ne suis pas de la région parisienne.
