A peaceful stay for nature lovers A beautiful, quiet, environmentally respectful little haven, with superb views and lots of native wildlife. Don't expect mod-cons, but go prepared to enjoy off-grid living, in a comfortable little cabin with everything you need (kitchen, wood fire, comfy bed, spacious deck for eagle, earth and star watching). Although the checkin is contactless, the owner is in contact via email with warm, personal messages, is responsive and helpful if required. Thanks so much Peter! We loved it.

Come here for the stupendous view over the north east coast from Falmouth up to the Bay of Fires,comfortable cabin accomodation with an authentic backwoods log cabin feel,and fireplace(which you will most certainly need to use to stay warm,firewood supplied).Remote and very quiet,crystalline air,just what we wanted.Almost tame pademelons will eat the pellet food supplied from your hand.A noisy valve associated with the hot water system kept us up much of the first night,and Peter the friendly owner allowed us to move to an adjacent cabin.It was just one of those unforeseen unexpected things,bad luck,but without anything being said by us Peter most graciously and generously refunded us the cost of that first night.That is character for you.An unforgettable highlight of our time in Tasmania,there was nothing else like it and I cannot recommend it too highly.And Peter,get well soon please!

Was a lovely peaceful beautiful quiet place to stay, we were greeted by a couple of the local critters, which was lovely. Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. loved the free unique gift, is a lovely memento of our stay and travels. No negatives from me and would highly recommend staying at Lumera Eco Chalets

Lumera Eco Chalets were the highlight of our Tassie trip. Perfect as a couples getaway, a spot away from all of modern life’s distractions to disconnect and enjoy the Tasmanian wilderness right at your doorstep. The cabins are perfectly self contained with complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a small fridge and gas oven-grille-stove top combo. Host Peter has implemented an eco-conscious philosophy, as the chalets are powered from a 24V solar power collection and storage system along with filtered rain water for all water needs. This means only one power socket to use (no hair dryers!) and all the more reason to put the phone/gadget away and soak up the incredible view from the balcony or perhaps even make friends with the very cute native critters local to the property (animal food kindly provided)! So bring a good book, a board game or two and maybe even a jigsaw puzzle, turn the phone off and book yourself some nights at these fantastic Lumera Eco Chalets!
