Welcome to the "On Island Time" cottage! This completely renovated cottage is located on a quiet street across from a city park on the south end of St. Simon's Island. Our address is 1100 Peachtree Street and the neighborhood is family friendly. We are located in a great location since we are only a 3 minute walk to the beach and great local restaurants such as the Crab Trap and Crabdaddy's. The famous St. Simon's Pier Village is less than a 15 minute walk along a oak tree-lined sidewalk. This home is going on the rental market for this first time in 2018. From your private parking spaces located just outside our front door, you will enter into a spacious living area. The large sectional offers plenty of room to relax with a 43" Smart TV equip with Xfinity that has many channels to watch after a long day at the beach. The dining area has a farmhouse bar height table that seats 6 with a gorgeous lantern style light fixture. You will love our totally new kitchen that is fully stocked with any gadget you may need to whip up a delicious meal. New cabinets with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops complete the look. The cottage has 3 bedrooms that can easily sleep up 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 children. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a down comforter. It also has two large closets and well as a 43" Smart TV. The in-suite master bath has a double vanity with granite counter tops and make getting ready for a night out quick and easy. The large new tile shower has a corner seat and a glass door. Sea shell globe lighting and rope mirrors make this nautical style bathroom so inviting.The second bedroom also has a king-sized bed with a lush down comforter and an antique door headboard. A closet with plenty of storage space as well as a dresser and upholstered bench complete this room. It also has a 43" Smart TV. The separate bathroom has a new tile shower with a glass shower door. There are shelves to hold your toiletries and another vanity with a granite counter top. Lush linens are supplied for you. The third bedroom is decorated with a nautical theme and has enough room to sleep 2 adults or 4 children. The full over full bunk bed is sure to be a hit with any youngsters you have. The room is equipped with a large wardrobe with hanging space for storage as well as a few toys in the storage baskets. A 24” TV is also included. The cottage also has a full size washer and dryer along with a start pack of detergents and paper products. The new 12'x16' wooden deck is sure to be a hit with any outdoor entertaining you may want to do. A large wooden spool table, an umbrella, and colorful stools complete the deck. We have a large gas grill available along with all the grilling utensils needed to cook any meal. We have an outdoor shower along with beach towels that you may use. An umbrella, 4 beach chairs, and beach toys are also available for you to use! Three bicycles are included for an easy ride to the village area where you can find many activities to do after your day at the beach. The village area has the lighthouse, a fishing pier, a hardware and bait shop, a small water park and playground (Neptune Park Fun Zone), a toy store, putt-putt golf, a frozen yogurt shop, a bakery, several ice cream shops along with many restaurants. * This one level cottage is great for snowbirds since there are no stairs to climb.* **No spring breakers or renters under 25. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!! Oak Street Retreat borders the exclusive King and Prince resort which includes St. Simon’s ONLY oceanfront restaurant, ECHO! Aside from serving three meals a day, ECHO also has a spacious bar and occasional live music. Within short walking distance are island food favorites Crab Trap, Crabdaddy’s, and Beachcomber BBQ and new but excellent locations, Fiddlers and Barrier Island Brewery. You will also find the local beach gear and bike rental shop, Ocean Motion, around the corner. The beach is a short 200 yard stroll from the front door. Our retreat comfortably sleeps 6 adults and up to 9 if twin bed and queen sleeper sofa are utilized. Let’s talk about the townhouse! Upon entering, you will find a downstairs den with queen pullout couch, separate twin bed, and 43” TV. A queen bedroom with full bath is also on the first level. This level makes a great grandparents suite or kid zone!Walk up a flight of stairs to the main level where you will find a spacious kitchen open to the dining table which seats 6. Four barstools provide additional in kitchen seating. Beyond the kitchen and dining area, is the living room with comfortable sectional sofa. Perfect for lazy afternoon naps! Above the fireplace, you will find a 55” smart TV for your viewing pleasure. Walk out the sliding doors and enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on the deck. A half bathroom is also located on the main level.Travel up one more flight of stairs and you will find two more bedrooms. One with a King bed and closet, the other with a Queen bed and closet. Each upstairs bedroom has a set of 2 bathroom sinks connected (4 total sinks), and a shared shower and toilet. The King bedroom has a deck attached. A full-size washer and dryer are located on the top floor, if you must do laundry on your vacation. All bedrooms also have TVs.
