We recently stayed at the Riake Resort & Villa, located in the serene northeast of Sainte Marie (Nosy Boraha), Madagascar, from 28th December to 7th January. This hidden gem offers an unforgettable experience in one of the most tranquil and picturesque settings imaginable. The resort is surrounded by lush natural beauty and pristine, white sandy beaches that provide a perfect escape from the chaos of everyday life. The cleanliness and tranquillity of the resort are unmatched, and the calming atmosphere truly makes it a paradise. Maurizio, the owner, deserves a heartfelt thank you for going above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. He checked in on us regularly and treated us to his mother’s authentic Italian recipes, including the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had. His dedication and personal touch made all the difference. Mamisoa, the Executive Assistant, was outstanding. From assisting with our bookings to confirming our flights with the airline, she handled every detail with professionalism and care, ensuring we had a seamless experience. The Head Chef, Emmanuel, amazed us with his culinary skills, preparing meals that were not only delicious but tailored to our preferences, including dishes that weren’t even on the menu. His passion for his craft shone through in every bite. Ngini, our waiter and the resort’s “medicine man,” was incredibly attentive, always ensuring we were well taken care of. His friendly demeanour and attention to detail made our stay even more special. Our adventure wouldn’t have been complete without Cyriak, our tour guide, who took us on thrilling quad bike rides around the island. This unique experience allowed us to explore the stunning beauty and rich culture of Sainte Marie (Nosy Boraha) in an unforgettable way. One of the highlights of our stay was the New Year’s Eve celebration organised by the resort. It was a magical evening featuring the local village residents, who performed traditional dances and songs, culminating in a beachside countdown to welcome the New Year. The serene atmosphere of Riake Resort & Villa, combined with the sound of the waves and the lush surroundings, made for a truly idyllic setting. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore, this resort has it all. Perdu au nord est de l’île ce Lodge vous fait baigner dans une nature luxuriante entre terre et mer. Bien qu’étant isolé, vous aurez les services et le confort nécessaires pour passer un très agréable séjour. Le personnel est avenant et efficace. Profitez d’y être pour découvrir les 20 km de plage de sable blanc mais aussi l’arrière pays jusqu’aux piscines naturelles
