Garrigae Abbaye de Sainte Croix

Du cadre à la gentillesse du personnel en passant par la qualité (et le rapport qualité/prix) de la restauration: tout était parfait! Une piscine exceptionnelle complète ce package déjà qualitatif: un véritable havre de paix. Ma seule question concerne les autres clients que j’ai croisés qui faisaient tous une tête de 10 pieds de long et ne décrochaient pas un sourire tout en traitant le personnel avec suffisance: courage à eux. De mon côté tout était parfait et à refaire !

Ho soggiornato, purtroppo solo una notte, in questo hotel, ma al prossimo giro in Provenza, ci ritornerò sicuramente, perchè è incantevole. Intanto la posizione, sulla prima collina di Salon-de-Provence, quindi fuori dal caos. Ben segnalato, appena varcato il primo cancello d'ingresso si capisce già lo stile del posto., immerso in un bel parco con vista, tranquillissimo. La strada interna è sterrata. La camera che abbiamo scelto ha un bel terrazzino attrezzato con tavolo, sedie, ombrellone e vista sulla valle circostante, è grande, con un armadio a muro dotato di cassaforte, un bel bagno con vasca, corredato anche da accappatoi e asciugamani per la piscina, soffitti bianchi con travi grigie a contrasto. La colazione è superlativa per la qualità e la freschezza dei prodotti proposti, sia dolci che salati. Ci siamo fermati anche a cena e non siamo rimasti delusi, aperitivo champagne, succo d'arancia e cointreau con crostini con patè, una porzione di pesce, con verdure, (queste x la verità, molto scarse), una di carne, sempre con verdure, questa volta nella giusta porzione, due bicchieri di vino bianco, caffè x un totale di €. 100, che sono in linea con il posto e la qualità del cibo. Sia la colazione che la cena vengono servite, tempo permettendo, nel cortile esterno. L'abbigliamento è informale, Bella la piscina, manca solo il personale x controllare i maleducati che si trovano purtroppo ovunque... é inammissibile che dei quarantenni schiamazzino come bambini e utilizzino pure i loro giochi in acqua.. che dire di più.. davvero un'ottima scelta..

The Abbey is beautyful, full of history and very interesting The rooms however and the hotel structure is very dated and in desperate need of a refurbishment. We were accommodated in the Saint Michelle room in the main building above the restaurant and it was very hot. Once we arrived the receptionist switched on a unit that was meant to be an AC but was in fact a fan totally useless in the heat of mid July. When we pointed that out, a young receptionist was very kind and showed us other two room available in the main building but all had the same ventilation unit so no AC. The rooms in the outbuildings were not avalilable so they might be more functional but we didn’t have a chance to see them. The manager came to the room when I complained and he guaranteed me that the AC was working till the day before. He seemed a bit lost when looking for a thermostat in the room ( there was none) and an AC outlet outside the window (none again). He justified himself saying he had just started to work there. Luckily the receptionist lent us a fan but unfortunately it was still too hot and the sleeping was miserable. So until the refurbishment takes place I would recommend to skip the Abbaye especially in the summer months.

Très belle bastide nichée dans un cadre paisible et isolé, avec une piscine entourée de pins. Le petit-déjeuner buffet, copieux et varié, est servi sur une terrasse offrant une vue magnifique. En revanche, les équipements et la chambre ne sont pas à la hauteur du standing attendu pour un hôtel 4 étoiles : mobilier vieillissant, climatisation bruyante, absence de bouteille d’eau et un seul oreiller à disposition. De plus, le ménage dans la chambre laissait à désirer. Dommage, car le lieu a beaucoup de potentiel.

Incredibly beautiful and special location Absolutely wonderful stay. The location is beautiful and peaceful. I look forward to coming again one day. The breakfast was lovely options.
