Horrible treatment by a greedy manager. I made a reservation 4 months ahead of time for a 2-bedroom suite. The morning of the stay I was sent an email to check in and let them know what time I would arrive, and I responded. I also checked in on the app. When I landed at SLC, I got a voicemail from the hotel, saying that “due to unforeseen circumstances, they were currently sold out and could not accommodate my reservation.” They got me a room at a nearby Springhill Suites, but it was a single room with two double beds (I was traveling with a companion), not the suite that I had reserved and they were charging me the same price! I walked to the hotel to speak with the manager but she wouldn’t talk to me. I spoke with a supervisor who sincerely apologized and said that I should not have been bumped. They had single bed rooms available that we could have used. As yet, they have not reimbursed me for the room, or added the points that they promised (which were not even enough to book the room I paid for). That may have been my last Marriott stay!
