"i visit SamarKand regularly for 5 years now, this is probably one of the best experiences i had :
it is a family-owned property that appeals to many city travellers seeking solid 3.5~4 star rated european-styled hotel stay.
very conveniently located at University Boulevard, it has convenience store next street,
and one needs not worry about food =a lo of it, rows of restaurants next door"
"This hotel is amazing! This is my favorite hotel on this trip. The swimming pool is nice. The restaurant on the first floor is also nice. There is also ice cream. I am not used to the food in Uzbekistan. I eat pasta, pizza and salad in the restaurant every day. It is so cool. The room is very comfortable. It is also convenient to take a taxi. Highly recommended"
"I didn't take pic of the room as it is basic but spacious enough. The hotel is strategically located in between various sightseeing sites. For travellers who opt for tram and bus, you choose the right location because opposite the hotel just accross the road, there is a tramvay stop and bus stop. Tramvay goes to and for the main train station if you are departing for Tashkent or Bukhara. While bus goes around the city. Take bus 22 to go around the city area such as Registan centre. Take bus 31 to and for airport. Really convenient, affordable, and I highly recommend it."

"Hotel location is good, quiet in the middle of the village, in the mouth of a village, not far away is a tourist spot. problem: 1. Wifi is too bad, almost no. If you need a computer to go online, you have to go to the third floor, where the signal is okay. 2. Sound insulation is not good. 3. The quilt is a white quilt. If you add the quilt in the cabinet, it is too thick. Even the waiter suggested using only the quilt."
"This is the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in in Uz. I am still very satisfied with this place in Samarkand. The hotel environment is very good. The room size is fine for me to live alone. Because the hotels here are not particularly large, it is okay in comparison. There is no way to compare with domestic ones. The hotel service staff are very enthusiastic and you cannot check in early. , at two o'clock in the afternoon, the guy at the front desk asked me to store my luggage and go out for fun. I would come back around one o'clock to go through the formalities. He promised to give me the best room. Well, the room would have a small terrace when I came back, hahaha. I played around in Kazakh Uzi. I only drank latte art coffee for breakfast here, hahaha. It would be even better if the Chinese flag could be hung at the entrance of the hotel. I hope the Ctrip hotel salesperson can help."
"The location is in a very good place. Close to tourist attractions. and if you are going to Samarkand, use Moovit and TaxiOK applications. It's very useful to you.
Rooms were not very good. There is a fridge in the room. There is no kettle or glass, but they provide hot water when requested.
The hotel is a bit old. But the room had an old authentic feel.
This is a good hotel for the location and the price. The staff was smiling. There were people who knew Turkish."
"After a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly."

Outstanding
GGuest UserI stayed in a room with a view of the rowing canal. 6th floor. Room 2616. Gorgeous view. You look at the water, rowers training - it's like meditation. A walk along the canal and to the Eternal City also brought great pleasure. I used the free shuttle to the city. To Registan Square. Fast. Quite convenient
Unfortunately, due to being busy, I was unable to appreciate all the advantages of the tourist complex, visit the spa, pool and sky bar. But maybe next time.
I would like to separately note the work of the reception. They helped with all issues. Shahzu helped connect a laptop to the wf.
At first, there were doubts about choosing a hotel, due to the distance from the city center. But in the end, I was very pleased. Thank you. The most pleasant impressions remained.
AALON007The overall service is very good, the hotel environment and the outside environment are very beautiful. Especially the front desk lady, she is considerate and thoughtful, first-rate!
The breakfast is rich, fresh and delicious.
All facilities are very good, five-star. The hand-brewed coffee in the room is delicious
The only thing to be improved: there is no cleaning kit, such as cotton swabs, etc.
CCanton KennedyThe hostel is inside quiet alley of the old city, which needs like 10 min walk from any bus/tram stations but easy to locate nevertheless.
All rooms are facing the inner countryard so it’s quiet and peaceful. Room (and bed) is large and A/C is strong. Private bathroom is tiny but functioning with hot shower and hair dryer.
Breakfast is good and drinking water is available to refill.
Receptionist/manager/staff are all friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and sightseeing suggestions.
MMatt’s TravelsGreat hotel with understated elegance and a real touch of luxury. On my recent trip to Uzbekistan, I stayed in several different affordable hotels and guest houses, Hotel Caravan Serail was by far the best one. The cost per night was a little higher than the other places that I stayed but boy what a difference a few extra euros made! The room was super clean and elegant. The bed is very comfortable. Everything was very well maintained. The staff too were excellent, there was a slight mixup with my room initially, but it was dealt with very quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great option for an affordable place to stay and if I ever visit Samarkand again, I would definitely book this hotel without hesitation. I only stayed one night but wish I had been longer. Oh, the breakfast is pretty good too!
AAlena_ZWe really liked the hotel, it is not big, but very cozy with high-quality repairs. It is conveniently located on a quiet street. A 10-minute walk from Registan. Our room was spacious, two-room with a beautiful view of the courtyard. The administrators were friendly, they were in touch before the trip, clarified the details of the arrival. On the day of arrival, we ordered a sauna with a pool for an hour. The water is cool, you can’t swim for a long time (we were there in January). The sauna is paid 100 thousand soums per person per hour, you can use the pool for free. After a long journey, we liked this option. We met other hotel guests only at breakfast, and otherwise we could not hear anyone, which personally pleased us very much. We really wanted to take a break from the hustle and bustle. Another plus of a vacation in the off-season. Breakfasts are served in the neighboring building on the ground floor, in the form of a buffet from 7 to 10 in the morning. Everything was delicious. Lots of pastries, fruits, yogurts, pancakes, cheesecakes, sausages and cheese of several kinds, dried fruits and nuts, fried eggs on request and made coffee. After such a hearty breakfast, we had our second meal only in the evening. Special thanks to Dilya, she cooked everything with soul and home-style. She packed us lunch boxes, because on the day of departure we did not have time to have breakfast (there was an early flight). We were pleased with the trip to Samarkand. I recommend the hotel.
SShawnEverything was excellent until the black out happened twice in one morning on our last day at the hotel. ID of the toilets need improvement - need the racks to be spaced out for hanging clothes and towels. WiFi can be improved, randomly getting cut out, not so ideal for working. Heated water in the shower was a tad too hot and couldn't make it colder. Mr T. loves the bidets and the multi-functioned toilet bowls. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide range of selection.

Nn Y S DaUsed for sightseeing in Samarkand. It is about 10 minutes walk to Registan Square. It is a new building and the restroom is spacious and there is no problem.
NNcholckStayed 1 night . location is very good and near registan complex. it was off season january and hotel was undergoing some re decorations . wifi was off and kitchen closed due to off season but owner was very friendly and honest about it and upgraded room. Had a very good sleep and only off thing was water kettle broken. simple breakfast , but ok, again dueto off season, I reckon its very good in season. beutifull rooftop terrace which im sure is thriving in summer. can recommend
RRamonLocation: excellent! It is in the same building complex as the Art Gallery Happy Bird, mentioned in Tripadvisor. Registan is about 300 m away, so after dinner I would walk there to see the illumination.
My room had 2 twin beds, was rather small but comfortable. Upon opening the windows, a cool breeze entered the room. Wi-fi was reliable and there was a water boiler for tea.
Breakfast was abundant and good. The cook, Dishoda, would make me an omelette every morning. In the same building there are restaurants and fast food/ice cream joints.
On my last day I took the train to Khiva, which departs at 11:46. The hotel allowed me to stay in the TV room, with wifi access, water and toilet facilities, for 10 hours after check out. I recommend Hotel Dyor.
