La Maravilla Lodge

I have stayed at La Maravilla many times and it has been a delight on each occasion. Marion is a very welcoming host with an encyclopaedic knowledge of local people, attractions, national parks and the like. She is very willing to advise you on your day out from here. She speaks English, Spanish, German and I’m sure is familiar or more with French. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice offered, the local breads are delicious. She also offers great evening meals, you cannot possibly go hungry here. If you ask nicely I’m sure she could make you a packed lunch. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfy, the location is quiet and there’s a pool to cool you in summer. I come here to go hiking in the Riserva de Lircay (about 25 mins drive) and Marion can tell you about other places for hikes. You can also do birdwatching in the Riserva, there are also plenty of birds in her large garden. I’ll be back again as soon as I can.
