Before I get into the nitty gritty, I want to acknowledge that this is a very unique place, and I am writing from the perspective of an adult on holiday where my expectations where pretty high. The pros: The sisters were kind. Breakfast was included, though mostly comprised of packaged goods. I could open my window and see a beautiful view of the harbor. The beach is within a 15 minute walking distance You probably get more of a day-to-day feel that is not so touristy. The cons: There is a curfew around 11pm where you have to be back. This is hard because this location is about a 20 minute walk from the train station so my group actually didn't get to go into the main part of Sorrento one night after going to the beach in the day because we were fearful of being able to make it back to the room in time. Maybe it's okay for young adults or college kids, but as a grown adult who wants to see the area it is truly a setback. There are no sidewalks on this area and it is very dangerous walking in the street because of the motorbike drivers and lack of regulations regarding stoppong and speeding. The biggest con was there was no air conditioning, and after a 97 F degree day, it's the worst feeling to come back to a hot stuffy room. I almost had to leave my stay early because it was really unbearable. Because there is no air, you really need the windows open. However between the loud noisy street, the guests who stay up late talking on the patio, and the entire flock of seagulls that crow at 4:30am sharp, there is no relief. I hardly got any sleep given this combination which negativity impacted my trip. There was never any hot water. If I was younger and needed to save some money, this might have been the way to go as it felt like a summer camp experience, but the cons truly made for a truly unbearable experience as an adult who wanted to explore the area to the maximum potential (and come back from exploring to some form of way to relax whether it was through a nice shower or having air conditioning.

A charming and elegant building with fantastic views of the harbour and across the bay. We had a room with a balcony, and enjoyed a wonderful and peaceful time. This is a fabulous location from which to explore the surrounding area, with the Circumvesuviana station only 10 mins walk away.

We stayed a couples of days with our three kids (6 to 11) in this region to visit Pompeii and Vesuvius. The monastery seemed to a special place to stay. The nuns were really friendly, one nun spoke good English. It feels a safe and nice place to stay. We all stayed in one single room with an own bathroom (room 8). We visiting in March, temperature was around 13C at the time. Highs - Nice nuns - Spacious room - Breakfast (no fresh bread but that’s was ok with us) - Internet (we were the only ones staying there at the time, winter is Lows - Only warm water between certain hours. On the first day we were in the room at 15:00, which was freezing. Nuns gave us a mobile heater. Super sweet! But it is hotel so heating is not something you should be concerned with. - Shower never became really hot. After being a full day of hiking, you really want a nice shower. All in all we didn’t regret staying here. Would we rebook? Probably not.

Excellent position. Excellent cleanliness of the rooms. The sisters are really very welcoming. The view seen from their garden is nothing short of... heavenly: overlooking the sea you can breathe a regenerating sea breeze. The rooms are very spacious and the sheets and towels are of excellent workmanship. The simple breakfast but on Sunday... the artisanal croissants also arrive. We will definitely return.

Breathtaking panorama. Welcoming, friendly and kind nuns. Unbeatable quality/price ratio considering the area. Simple and clean rooms. Simple, plentiful breakfast that satisfies all needs. Convenient internal parking. Absolutely recommended!
