Emoha Dive Resort

The resort is right on the sea shore with a beautiful view of Dumaguete and tanon strait. It’s a v small hotel of 6 rooms including 2 family rooms holding 16 guests maximum. It’s big for such a small number of rooms and has all the facilities. Jean the owner and his wife have kept the place clean, and with all facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. It’s a must visit for those staying in Oslo’s for the whale sharks which they organised very well. Foods good too

Our family of 10 stayed here using 4 of the rooms. Emoha was our final destination of 4 resorts throughout the Philippines. Truly an EXCEPTIONAL stay all round in terms of the resort, ambience, food quality, cleanliness, hospitality and attention to details!! Staff were very attentive & helpful, owners bent over backwards to help book activities, transport & excursions. Food variety & quality was EXCELLENT! Diving was superb & the Panorama dive exceeded expectations. Dive equipment is also top notch along with an excellent dive master (Ron). Lottie went out of her way to make us feel at home. We HIGHLY recommend Emoha & would love to return here!! It was our BEST place to stay in the Philippines!!!

We had a wonderful time at Emoha Dive Resort! From the moment we arrived, the friendly and helpful owners made us feel welcome, and the kind, hardworking staff ensured our stay was perfect. The resort is absolutely lovely. Our room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We appreciated the eco-friendly approach and the availability of delicious vegetarian meal options. The staff went above and beyond to help us explore the area, providing helpful advice and arranging for drivers to take us to various sites. For divers and snorkelers, this resort is a dream. The coral reefs just off the hotel are stunning, and the snorkeling experience was incredible. The pool was another highlight—a relaxing spot to unwind after a day of exploring. If you’re looking for a peaceful, eco-friendly retreat with exceptional service and access to breathtaking underwater adventures, Emoha Dive Resort is the place to go. We can’t wait to return!

Our stay at this resort was flawless – a true paradise from start to finish! The sunny weather (we were very lucky) and incredibly friendly staff exceeded all expectations. The room and view from our balcony was dreamy, especially at sunrise and sunset. I’m so glad we chose this place for our family getaway. Tucked away from the crowds, the resort offered a peaceful escape. My kids, aged 9 and 12, enjoyed the pool, and we had an unforgettable afternoon snorkeling. I loved the cozy outdoor lounge where they enjoyed reading comic books in French. After exploring Oslob and Moalboal, we returned to the resort for refreshing mango cocktails and a relaxing balcony massage. A highlight was my son’s beginner diving course. He not only loved it, but also received his certificate the same day. The availability of snorkeling and diving gear for rent was a great bonus. The warm, welcoming owners gave us fantastic tips on where to find the best lechon, and with their English and French, we felt right at home. This resort made our vacation unforgettable – the only downside is that I didn’t book a longer stay! I’ll definitely recommend it to friends and family looking to explore Cebu. It’s an absolute gem!

Un de nos meilleurs hôtels lors de notre périple aux Philippines! Jean-Michel et Liotti sont des hôtes très charmants et ont fait en sorte que nous passions un excellent séjour. La vue de l’hôtel et les couchers de soleil sont magnifiques. La cuisine de Liotti est splendide! C’est le seul hôtel où nous avons parfaitement mangé. Jean-Michel est un excellent instructeur de plongée. Mon conjoint a pu plongé avec les requins-baleines et ce sera un souvenir gravé dans sa mémoire a tout jamais. Seul petit bémol: pas de ménage au cours du séjour, il manquait donc selon nous un ménage quotidien ou un rafraîchissement de la chambre (changement des serviettes de bain au cours du séjour, …)

We just got back from an incredible six-night dive vacation at Emoha! The diving itself was incredible. Jean Michel and Tony were wonderful dive guides-- they would show us interesting things if they found them (like a shrimp and gobi together or a sponge crab on a night dive) but were also cool to let us wander around and explore. They carried everything to the boat and handled setting up the gear and rinsing it each day. Dive groups were small-- sometimes it was just the two of us, and the most we had were a group of four. (You don't have to be a diver to stay at the resort, but we definitely recommend staying here if you do dive!) Things were very flexible and chill-- Jean Michel would stop by while we were relaxing in the lounge area at night and would check in about the next day's dives based on the weather and current conditions and our interests. The coral was very vibrant in the area and we even saw a couple of sharks and large turtles! Since the area was farther from the busier Moalboal areas it wasn't crowded at all. We never saw any other divers in the local reef area, and only saw one other group when we were diving Sumilon Island. Overall a 10/10 experience! The rest of the resort was also lovely! Lottie was amazing with communication with her prompt email responses when we contacted her to book a last-minute stay after our prior plans elsewhere got canceled. She helped explain how to get there-- you can fly to Dumaguete and be there in an hour or less by taking a ferry or you can fly to Cebu City and then have a four-hour drive using a car service that she will book for you. Everything is added on to your tab that you pay at the end, making things very easy and relaxing. This includes food, drink, dives, diving equipment, car service, and even a massage that she can book with a nearby massage therapist to do in your room or balcony with just an hour or two notice at a super reasonable price-- I highly recommend getting one! We enjoyed the included breakfasts and super reasonably priced lunches and dinners (we spent less than $300 total for two people for six nights of lunches, dinners, wine, and beer). You can let Lottie know ahead of time if you're going to want an early breakfast and you can also pre-order your dinner for later if you're hanging out on the couches with afternoon drinks-- just let her know what you'd like and at what time. We loved the spicy Korean Ramen soup and the pizza for lunch, and for dinner we recommend asking Lottie what she recommends for the night-- sometimes they will get in a new shipment of salad or fresh fish or have a special. She knows what they cook best! :) We enjoyed the coconut-sauce fish, the tuna, the desserts, and we got the side salad with sesame dressing each night. You can order a bottle of wine (also at a great price) and then if you don't drink all of it, they will label it with your room number so you can have more the next day.
