Polydefkis Hotel

A great hotel we discovered after visiting Kamari 4 times. Located right in the heart of Kamari a minutes walk to the beach. The rooms are fabulous and the surroundings are beautiful. Vanessa is a fantastic host at the pool, serving some great food.

The hotel was very welcoming and we got excellent service. The situation is very private but still less than a minute to the beach and everything you need was a few steps away from restaurants, bars and supermarket. Rooms are quiet and had everything you needed Wifi, pool towels, air-conditioning etc. and were cleaned daily. The breakfast was of good quality and always fresh. I highly recommend the hotel.

Just stayed here for a week we had a fantastic holiday ,Hotel was spotlessly clean the breakfast was of good quality always fresh, the pool area was spotlessly clean well kept comfortable sun beds ,the staff were very polite and helpful . Great location with plenty of to do 100mtrs from beach restaurants are excellent they are all touting for your business we ate at a different place every night prices are fair about £16-£25 for a main beers large £5-£7 ,the best way to get around the island are the buses the taxis are absolutely ridiculously expensive around £40for a 15minute ride. Would I go back there same hotel ? In a heartbeat. My only criticism is the breakfast good could be a little warmer as the hot food was only lukewarm warm hence 4stars and not 5 .

We have just returned from our holiday to Santorini staying at the Polydefkis hotel. Honestly was a great experience. The apartments are all nicely set out, they are spacious and well decorated and cleaned daily! The pool was even better than expected and the view overlooking the massive mountain is 10/10. I will post some pics of the decorations around the hotel pool it is lovely lots of nice painted windows and murals around the pool and the little pathway down to the pool is beautiful. The pool bar is good and the lady who runs it is the sweetest! The location is very good and honestly about 40 steps away from the beach, a nice shop directly opposite the hotel with everything you could need and the hotel is very close to all the bars on the main ***** but not too close that you hear it at night which is good. The hotel itself was rather busy with the pool often been busy but it was not too loud or annoying in any way and it was nice to see different families socialising and chatting. We did a package holiday with Tui and the whole process was pretty quick and simple as you’d expect from a package hol. Was picked up and dropped off outside our hotel and it was an easy process throughout . As you are off to Greece you will be expected to pay the tourist tax there, this hotel charges 7 euro a night per room which is around average I believe- just so you are aware we we initially forgot about this. Only negative would be that the reception staff seemed a bit short with us, especially if we had any questions etc but other then that they gave us all the necessary info we needed so it wasn’t really an issue and maybe they were just having an off day! Great experience would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone fancying Kamari - side note the bus from Kamari to Fira is really simple only costs 2 euros and they come every 15 mins and takes about 20 mins, the bus stop is straight up left when leaving the hotel and you will then make a right to go past the basket ball court and see the que of people waiting for the bus - deffo recommend (sorry if my instructions are not helpful but anyone would be happy to direct you as most of the people we met were lovely and happy to help) !! Also recommend the Finch cafe and bar for food, went twice and was delicioussss - hope you have a blessed safe and lovely holiday wherever you book!! ＜3

Ruime kamers (2 k app) , flink balkon en best wel compleet. Basis keukengerei en badkamerspullen aanwezig evenals gratis badlakenservice. Vriendelijk personeel, met name Vanessa en haar dochter (Fiby?) bij het zwembad. Ontbijt verschilt per dag en is compleet. Het complex bevindt zich in een levendige omgeving maar is zeker niet storend. Strand vlakbij, nadeel daar zijn de stenen en rotsen aan de kustlijn wat het niet makkelijker maakt om er in te gaan. De boulevard en de restaurants daar zien er modern uit en nodigt uit 's avonds daar te eten en wandelen.

Wat een prachtig hotel / appartementen / studio's, alles aanwezig op de kamer, fijn terrasje er bij (wij hadden een appartement) alle dagen de kamers schoon gemaakt en nieuwe handdoeken. Wij reizen veel, maar zo schoon heb ik de kamers nog niet gezien. Niks, 0,0 op aan te merken. Mooi zwembad, prima ligbedden en voldoende en prima barretje / lunch gelegenheid bij het zwembad. En 50 meter van zee. Ontbijt 's morgens perfect en afwisseling. AANRADER
