Agave Santorini Design Boutique Hotel

Couple - Room number 7 Pros: - Receptionist is really friendly and helpful - Location is nice - Breakfast is cool and different - Shower is amazing - AC is strong - Close to the Bus station - Clean Cons: - You have like 3 minutes walk to reach the taxi with all the luggage - No view at all from our room - An old building in front of the hotel - Mattress is so stiff and not comfortable - Terrace is shared - Walls are thin and you could hear a lot of noises The professional images/website could give you a wrong impression of the place. It's not luxurious, it's basic.

We booked a room at Agave and honestly, the view was stunning — especially at sunset. For this location and this price, it’s a rare find in Santorini. The room was clean, simple, and quiet. Check-in was smooth with a code, and communication through WhatsApp was fast and helpful. If you’re looking for a great base with an amazing view and no unnecessary extras, this place is perfect. 100% value for money!

We had a very similar experience as the previous reviewer ‘sternvil’. It was very disappointing, and the walk to the hotel was littered with garbage, etc. There were always motorbikes coming and going, and parking right outside our room. We were booked for room with breakfast, but there was no breakfast! Our room was tiny, the floors were painted concrete, even the bathroom which always got wet from the shower, which made it very slippery. Would not recommend this hotel.

All I heard was how beautiful Santorini is and how amazing the views are from the hotels. If that’s what you are expecting that’s a big reason to ovoid this place. The pictures on their site and others are false advertising. Let’s start with the walk to the “Boutique” hotel. You are not off the caldera walk. You must walk inside it through a path littered with beer can and garbage. The hotel is directly across from an abandon building which is an eye sore. If you don’t have a room on the top floor you will have no view of the beauty below. We had top floor room 1. We arrive and we’re informed there was no reception personnel for the day! Note we never saw anyone for 4 nights!!!! We were greeted by the cleaning women who very little english! The room wasn’t ready as we were early but that was ok. But when room was ready we entered and were overwhelmed by the smell of raw sewage. Yes raw sewage! The room was so small we would pass each other. The shower doesn’t have hot water until you turn on the heater! The water from both shower and sink was salt water!!!! The first night I put on the electric to heat the water. 5 minutes later all the lights went out. It turned out to be a grid failure for about 2 hours. Yet here’s the thing. All the out door lights were on, and the occupied rooms and reception all had lights! Why is this? They had emergency back up and room 1 did not! We’re we offered anything? Nope! 3 days later I get text saying the power will be done for 2 hours. Ok fine the. I ask did you replace battery in emergency back up again no they didn’t and nothing offered to make us happy! Outside each room are rusted buckets to capture the water from the AC units. Not outside our room! Night one we came back to a puddle outside our door! I had to take a bucket from another room for reminder of stay! As for the view it was ok but obstructed by the power lines and of course that abandoned building below! I’d avoid this place!

Menteurs; aucune intimité ! Après avoir passé quelques jours dans l’hôtel (j’y reviendrai plus bas…) nous avons été contraint d’annuler une partie du séjour et rentrer car notre fille d’1 an était malade. Nous avons demandé à la gestion de l’hôtel (qui n’est pas sur place et que nous n’avons jamais vu) pour une annulation sans frais des nuits non honorées et ils ont accepté. Ils nous ont demandé de passer pr booking, le site de réservation sauf que cela fait maintenant 1 semaine que nous attendons et que nous n’avons plus aucune nouvelle de leur part ! Même Booking n’arrive pas à les contacter sur le sujet ! Nous avions prévenu que nous ne pouvions rentrer chez nous que s’ils acceptaient mais avions également dit que s’ils n’acceptaient pas, nous comprenions car ils n’étaient pas obligés. Nous avions besoin de ce remboursement afin de payer les frais de changement de vol. Quel est l’intérêt d’accepter pour revenir sur ses promesses ?! Concernant l’hôtel en lui même, à moins d’avoir un budget serré et de vouloir absolument être au centre d’Immerovigli, passez votre chemin. Les chambres sont plutôt bien mais très petites ! La seule fenêtre de la chambre donne sur les lieux de passages et tout le monde voit dans votre chambre ! Que ce soit avec ou sans vue mer ! Aucune intimité. Sur leur site, il est écrit « 1 bouteille d’eau par jour » et en arrivant « la politique a changé » et nous n’avons droit qu’à une seule bouteille alors que l’eau du robinet n’est pas potable (super avec un bébé) L’entretien est assez moyen. Le pommeau de douche m’est tombé sur la tête plus d’une fois ; le ménage est sommaire et notre chambre n’a pas été refermée correctement après ; le wifi est quasiment inexistant. Seul point positif, le personnel sur place (la réceptionniste et la femme de ménage) qui était malgré tout aidante et sympathique.

Abbiamo trascorso una settimana di vacanze a Santorini e abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel. Il posto è strategico e centrale, siete praticamente ad un soffio dal centro de Imerovigli dove potete ammirare ogni sera il fantastico tramonto! Noi tutto sommato ci siamo trovati bene. La camera aveva una vista sul mare per metà con un bel terrazzino. Arredata in modo semplice ma carino. Il bagno minuscolo non aveva il bidet ed era anche un po’ trascurato ma andabile. A nostra disposizione in camera c’era una macchina del caffè Nespresso con cialde che ci venivano rifornite ogni giorno (l’ho trovata una cosa ottima). Camera dotando di aria condizionata, tv, Wi-Fi e addirittura Netflix. Il personale gentilissimo e a disposizione, peccato che non parlino neanche una parola di italiano ma ci siamo intesi benissimo. Per chi vuole trascorrere una vacanza a Santorini senza spendere un capitale ma stare comunque in un posto figo noi consigliamo a pieno l’Agave hotel.
