Agave Santorini Design Boutique Hotel

Great Location and View With A Caveat Wonderful location with an amazing view! The staff here are great - super friendly and helpful. However, there were a few details about the property that we found to be few frustrating. First of all, one of the reasons why we booked this hotel is because it was listed as having a laundry service. Given the duration of our time in Greece, we knew we would need this. Unfortunately there was no laundry available, and the closest laundromat was about a 30 minute walk away. There were no delivery options nearby, either. Secondly, the door on our hotel room was challenging to open and close, and even when closed, there was a crack that allowed bugs (mosquitos) in. Finally, on our last night, about half an hour after the reception closed, our shower refused to work. There was very little water pressure, and no heat. We ended up having to do a sponge bath with bottled water. Not ideal. Other than these frustrating factors, we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is filling, and it is perfect to enjoy with the excellent view. Great hotel for the value, if you don't mind putting up with some annoyances.

A nice simple hotel with a million dollar view It was a great stay in Agave Hotel. The hotel is situated in Imerovigli, right on top of the caldera (cliff). The room was quite simple but comfy. Despite its simplicity, it has a million dollar view even from our hotel room. We could watch sun rise and sun set in the comfort of our balcony. One thing you should know, the receptionist only opens at 9.30AM to 3.30PM. We got there quite early in the morning, so we could not check in right away as the receptionist was not on site yet. But, we managed to walk around the neighbourhood and took a lot of beautiful photos while there were no people around. The neighbourhood would start to be very crowded and busy in the afternoon. We came back to the hotel at 9.30 when the receptionist opened. We were attended to by Irini. She was pretty helpful and friendly. She gave us early check in at 12PM instead of 3PM free of charge. And she could be reached on her number whenever we needed something outside if the opening hour. There is a mini market just behind our hotel which sells plenty of stuff. You can find almost everything in the shop. It opens from 7.30AM to 11PM. However, the restaurants opened quite late. Almost all restaurants open at 11AM. So if you're a morning breaky person, you can only get some simple breaky stuff from the mini market. In overall, it was a pleasant trip. It is value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely come back again if I had an opportunity to travel back to Santorini.
