Location of the hotel is excellent, huge complex with private beach surrounded by green hills, with view on Phoenix island. Beautiful villas with private swimming pools. Food is delicious both breakfast buffet and dinner options, restaurant staff is very open and proactive with some people also speaking good English. However there is little information reaching guests (at least foreign ones) from the hotel, about typhoon warnings and not to leave the room in the evening we found out from the nice restaurant staff during breakfast, as cleaning of the room was delayed only in the evening we noted some note in the room about upcoming typhoon. Overall there were so many trees broken the next day morning, that if we left the room definitely it wasn’t safe, there should be much better notice and direct communication with every of guests about danger on hotel premise - in fact there were only few guests this day from what we noted. Sunset event was also relocated to other place on second day and no information nowhere about this. Buggy service could be also improved, there were problems to order it sometimes. I hope hotel could improve on those elements as otherwise this is very good resort.

The staff were not just friendly; they were incredibly helpful and radiated kindness, making us feel right at home. This place was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Every day from 5:30 to 6:30, we enjoyed sipping drinks and snacking on fresh fruit at the beach bar while watching the sunset paint the sky in mesmerizing colours. It was pure bliss! Plus, the variety of water activities and the open-air beach bungalows added to the relaxation. Just a tip: those bungalows go fast, so make sure to snag one early if you plan to lounge in the sun all day! The breakfast spread was a feast for the senses, loaded with delicious options served from 6:30 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon. No need to rush! And the convenience factor is off the charts with a buggy service ready to whisk you from your villa to the beach bar, lobby, restaurant, and more. Our villa was nothing short of stunning and impeccably clean. Every evening, the staff turned down the bed and left a delightful little gift, which added a charming touch to our stay. And to top it all off, they surprised us with a birthday cake for my partner—such a sweet, thoughtful gesture! We truly had the time of our lives, and I can’t recommend Banyan Tree Sanya enough!
