Hotel de Compostelle

Hotel a pocos metros del centro, con aparcamiento exterior privado, pero no nos hizo falta ya que aparcamos en la calle, habitación limpia, totalmente equipada, baño reformado hace poco y muy limpio, el personal del hotel muy agradable y muy servicial en todo momento. Dispone de piscina y sauna, pero no llegamos a utilizarlo

This is a clean, modern and convenient hotel and it was recommended by the Rick Steves guidebook. Unfortunately, the air conditioning system is broken in our room when my family of three stayed for one night at the end of May 2025. The temperature reached a high of 85 degrees F during the day. We arrived at the hotel around 4pm in the afternoon and the room temperature was tolerable. We tried to adjust the air conditioning unit and could not make it work. I went downstairs to ask the receptionist and she asked for my room number. I gave it to her and she acknowledged that she is aware of the air conditioning unit not working in that room. She apologized and said that the mechanic is waiting for a part that has not arrived. We went out to dinner in the old town in Sarlat and came back to the hotel around 9:30pm and the room temperature was unbearably hot. We opened the balcony door hoping the evening air would eventually cool down the room. Unfortunately, our room with a balcony faces the main street and cars and motorcycles passed through our window the entire evening. Needless to say, we had a very restless night. Given that the hotel apparently was aware that the room's air conditioning system did not work, I am disappointed that it did not inform us when we checked in or offer us a different room. The next morning at checkout, the young man working at the reception was apologetic and offered us a 20 Euro discount which was a nice gesture.

Bien placé et excellent service L'hôtel est très bien placé pour visiter le centre de Sarlat, il est également facile de se garer à proximité. Les prestations sont de bonne qualité et la chambre était très propre et agréable. Le prix est correct. Au-delà de ces critères, nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil réservé. Nous reviendrons à cette adresse avec grand plaisir.
