Hotel de Compostelle

Occupants de la chambre numéro 16 ,dans un hôtel soi disant 3 étoiles ,une chambre où l'on ne peut pas fermer le volet pour la nuit qui donne face au lit , malgré un rideau occultant qui ne fait pas son job ,une circulation intense a partir de 5 heure du matin ,une television qui fonctionnent a un rythme aléatoire (uniquement 5 chaînes ),des poignées de portes qui sont très mal fixée,des toilettes avec un abattant également mal fixée,une douche avec au plafond des tâches noires grâce à une Vmc qui ne fonctionne pas ,une mini poubelle dans les toilettes toutes cabossé,pour le petit déjeuner un vaste choix de produits industriels...quel dommage par rapport à la région qui peut fournir de si merveilleux produits locaux .3 étoiles bizarre bizarre.

This is a clean, modern and convenient hotel and it was recommended by the Rick Steves guidebook. Unfortunately, the air conditioning system is broken in our room when my family of three stayed for one night at the end of May 2025. The temperature reached a high of 85 degrees F during the day. We arrived at the hotel around 4pm in the afternoon and the room temperature was tolerable. We tried to adjust the air conditioning unit and could not make it work. I went downstairs to ask the receptionist and she asked for my room number. I gave it to her and she acknowledged that she is aware of the air conditioning unit not working in that room. She apologized and said that the mechanic is waiting for a part that has not arrived. We went out to dinner in the old town in Sarlat and came back to the hotel around 9:30pm and the room temperature was unbearably hot. We opened the balcony door hoping the evening air would eventually cool down the room. Unfortunately, our room with a balcony faces the main street and cars and motorcycles passed through our window the entire evening. Needless to say, we had a very restless night. Given that the hotel apparently was aware that the room's air conditioning system did not work, I am disappointed that it did not inform us when we checked in or offer us a different room. The next morning at checkout, the young man working at the reception was apologetic and offered us a 20 Euro discount which was a nice gesture.

Idéalement situé en centre ville, très facile d’accès et stationnement aisé. Hôtel refait avec goût permettant de s’y sentir très bien. Personnel très acceuillant et professionnel. Chambre spacieuse, lumineuse, très bien insonorisée ayant une configuration permettant un bien être et une excellente circulation dans ce bel espace de vie. Propreté irréprochable. Petite suggestion, proposer une formule de petit déjeuner classique (boisson chaude, une viennoiserie, un verre jus orange et pain beurre/confiture) pour ceux qui ne souhaite pas prendre la formule Continentale qui est à 14 €. Un grand merci pour cette hospitalité et je conserve cette excellente adresse pour un prochain séjour.
