Spruce Lake

We had a great stay at Spruce Lake. Mark and Alison are lovely people and they treated us well. The room and breakfast are perfect! My brother went fishing with help of Mark. He did catch a couple of fishes. We would love to go back in 2023.

Our 2nd is it to Spruce Lake & it felt like we were returning as friends! Mark & Alison make you feel so at home, the food is amazing (French toast, roast pork, chicken in tarragon sauce, nectarine tart, chocolate & cherry meringue..... yummy!) and the setting is beautiful. I haven't even mentioned the fishing yet - my husband caught 22 fish this time round and was very happy! We're already planning our next trip in 2023 :-)

Third stay with Mark & Alison and as good as ever and we were welcomed back as friends! The place is lovely & chilled, fishing great and the food is excellent! The rooms are lovely and clean and there are lots of nice little touches with a bowl of lovely chocolates, decent tea & coffee, comfy beds, great toiletries etc. if you stay, make sure you have both breakfast and an evening meal (you probably won’t need to eat in between!) - I can highly recommend the eggs Benedict, French toast, bacon brioche and the dinners are fabulous especially if you’re lucky enough to have Alison’s banoffee pie!! Be prepared to put in weight! Also, if you enjoy fishing you won’t be disappointed as there are plenty and a decent size. There were a couple of PB’s for our group this holiday.
