Tiger Moon Resort

My wife and I have traveled extensively in Asia for the past ten years and of all the many hotels we have stayed in, Tiger Moon had the kindest and most welcoming staff we have ever encountered. The wait staff are attentive and go out of their way to help you with anything you need. The hotel manager is very good and was tremendously helpful on several occasions when we were having difficulty getting in touch with our safari drivers. The chef is amazing! We loved everything he made. When I'd read that the hotel served buffet-style I was expecting the food to be mediocre - but I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was over-the-top delicious. The hotel grounds are very beautiful with about a dozen cottages scattered around in a jungle setting. Each room has its own veranda that looks out on the forested grounds. My wife and I are fond of birds so we were thrilled to see all the parrots, woodpeckers, barbets, etc. and to wake up to the sound of all the bird calls. The hotel is located less than a five minute drive from the gate to Ranthambore core zones, so getting to/from the safaris is very easy. We came in March and did four safaris in which we saw several tigers (including a mating pair just off the roadside in zone 7), leopards, mongoose, and lots of other wildlife. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel had all had great luck on their game drives as well. Ranthambore is a magical and beautiful place. If you have any desire to see tigers in the wild, you should come here and stay at Tiger Moon. I wish I had known in advance that the manager could book the safaris for us. We were disappointed with the lack of communication from our safari company but it was obvious that everyone who booked through the hotel had a stress-free experience with on-time pickups. If you haven't been to India yet, you should go! It is such a vibrant, fascinating country (especially Rajasthan) with wonderful people, interesting culture, delicious food - and of course tigers (the supermodels of the animal kingdom).

I didn't want to leave! A totally relaxing and calm space in nature and very close to tiger spotting in the national park. Fantastic staff who gave us so much help due to my husband having an illness whilst there. Also lovely food. Just what we needed. Thank you!

Charmant hôtel près de ranthambore. Ce petit resort est situé dans un immense jardin à deux pas du parc de ranthambore. Ce n est pas luxueux mais il y a tout ce qu il faut . Le patron et son équipes ont fait le maximum pour nous satisfaire. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et le repas buffet le soir aussi . Le personnel au restaurant est très serviable . Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans cet hôtel

Wonderful memories My dad and I used the Tiger Moon Resort as the base for 4 safaris in the Ranthambore national park and really enjoyed our stay! We will make self-drivers aware that the resort is a bit away from the center. As we had booked a driver that took us from the hotel to the safari, however, we didn’t mind this. In fact, we loved the picturesque setting in a semi-wild garden close to the national park. We also really enjoyed the fact that we could get breakfast at 10:30, ie after coming back from safari. All meals were included, as was water. We did love breakfast; lunch and dinner were a bit spicey for us, but then again, this is India. The hotel has a shop that can be opened if you are interested in souvenirs and we appreciated an opportunity to support local craftswomen. The soft drinks were extra but very reasonably priced. It was too cold to use the pool and we were usually too tired to sit at the bonfire but the amenities at this property are very nice. The only suggestion to the hotel is, we would have would be to serve dinner earlier…when you have to get up at 5, eating at 8 the night before is pretty late. And a tip for other travelers: if you book a safari - whether through the hotel or another provider like we did), make sure you do it at least 4 weeks before the trip and ensure you get a zone between 1 and 5 (best zones being 3 and 4). Overall, it was a marvelous stay and we highly recommend the property.

Excellent property to stay. The lush green view gives you a lovely jungle feel. The food and facilities are great and I would recommend families and friends to save the resort for your next vacation. Hemant at the reception was very cooperative and supportive

Very good location, good hospitality, rooms are very good, food is very good. Very good resort who love to spend some time in nature, very relaxing filling from city busy life. Recommend to visit ones. Will definitely come again. Very good experience.
