The Maynard

A really great stay and a truly warm welcome. The room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect and a quick 10 minute walk to the town centre. Parking was easy also. I would say we will stay here again the next time we visit Scarborough.

Very clean and comfortable room. We stayed here for a week while holidaying in Scarborough. The room was serviced every day which was amazing, meaning that we came back to a clean, tidy room with fresh towels each day. The most comprehensive tea tray was left for us with a huge number of teabags, coffee sachets and milk plus biscuits and even a chocolate each on arrival. The Maynard is in a great location just a stroll away from the Esplanade. Breakfast at Rowntree Lodge was delicious. My favourite detail was the deco looking inner door in the entrance hallway - see photo. The only downside for us was the soundproofing, probably as it is an older building. At times it was quite noisy especially when other guests came back at night. Very good value for money.
