Very good location and amenities!

Guter Aufenthalt. Zimmer und Bad alt, aber sauber. Alles da was man braucht. Keine Klimaanlage. Kamin im Zimmer. Lage top und direkt am Strand.

My husband and I stayed at the Ebb Tide for the first time, from September 29 through October 4, while playing in a bridge tournament at the Convention Center. The location was excellent for this; a short walk to the playing site. We had a second floor room (#219) with a nice ocean view. I think the hotel calls this "partial ocean view" because we could not see Tillamook Head, but the view was otherwise large and excellent. Especially appreciated was the small kitchen sink. The large room had both a dining table and a desk area, as well as an in-wall gas fireplace which would be lovely in the winter. A few drawbacks: there is no air conditioning, and at this time of year the room was still too warm at night. There is a floor fan supplied, though. The bathroom is a bit tight; the door nearly crashes into the toilet when opened all the way. I recommended at checkout that they install ADA-height toilets and grab bars. Would not stay on the second floor again, as there are no elevators (except in the swimming pool building), and the stairs were hard on my arthritic knees and ankles. That said, the positives FAR outweigh any negatives at this property. Staff members are unfailingly helpful and informative. There are delicious cookies every night at 6 PM, and the very good included breakfast has eggs and sausages, in addition to the usual assortment of high-carb foods. The fantastic location allows guests to easily access the Prom for walking and people watching. We would stay here again, requesting a room on the ground floor. There is plenty of free parking, and the rates are reasonable.
