Hotel Fanes

I visited hotel fanes this year 2025 with my girlfriend and it was a terrible experience! And I want to comment on that…From the beginning that we arrive in the hotel while we were tired from our road trip from Bergamo to the Alps when we went in the bar to drink an apperitif all of a sudden a member of the staff e.g a driver came and started talking to us like we are friends. The next morning I noticed again this driver that wanted to talk with my girlfriend in the parking while I was up in the room preparing for skiing. Completely unacceptable behaviour like this man targeted my girlfriend and wanted I assume to flirt!!!!So a terrible experience. I asked the driver later on to stop talking to us where my girlfriend also didn’t respond to his questions anymore and everytime I gave him my skiis to load in the car he was replying to me “ I don’t have any four hands”. An another day he finds again my girlfriend and started asking something where I intervened and asked him not to talk to us and he says I wasn’t talking to you. I informed the owner of the hotel about this since his behaviour and the owner didn’t seem to care or apologise. This driver is from Romania that apparently the owner of the hotel has hired this year and he will tell you to call at his number e.g a Rumanian phone number every time you want the shuttle service to pick you up. A thing that I noticed is that hotel fanes keep changing the stuff since last year that we visited the hotel there was an Italian driver and created us no problems. However, there must be a cause why the stuff changes every year so we assumed that we will have a nice experience but it was a terrible one! Now for the room quality, we had a room with a panoramic view however on top of us there was like an another floor and everytime they woke up or walk then we could hear these noises and the problem was that the people they were upstairs they were waking up from 5 or 6 am so they would wake us also up. The floor we stayed was the second floor and I couldn’t never realize if it was guests staying above us or staff of the hotel. Last but not least, the food is decent but we noticed with my girlfriend that some days the food isn’t that great. Breakfast is every day the same so it’s mediocre. My opinion is that the owner of the hotel has a mindset of coming in and coming out and he duesnt bother to address these issues of his hotel so I would never visit this hotel again. Speaking also with a lady from the staff he mentioned also that she doesn’t like the atmosphere. Hope others can save there skiing vacations because for this terrible experience we had to pay with my girlfriend 2994 euros!!!!!So never the same mistake again!

A lovely boutique hotel in Selva Val Gardena. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the service was wonderful. The free shuttle to and from the ski lifts is excellent. Our room was spacious and newly renovated with a balcony. There was plenty of hot water for a shower after skiing (although the temperature did vary, presumably when other guests turned on their taps and there was no bath), and the heated floor in the bathroom was great. There is a small spa, which is self-service, and you have to book by your room number, and it is only open for a limited part of the day. Dinner is usually included in your booking, and both breakfast and dinner were very good. You can walk into the village, but it’s a steep walk back up to the hotel afterwards!

A great pleasure and treasure that I found in Val Gardena. Hotel Fanes enjoys a stunning location with glorious Dolomites views. Soak up the warming hospitality and family-friendly vibe, while enjoying the flawless service, fabulous gourmet cuisine, and superb views. The hotel has shuttle to the slopes, and the city is 10 min on foot. It also has a ski room and all the space u need for relaxing. We stayed in a deluxe suite and it was very clean, with great attention to details. It was a perfect vacation and we highly recomand .The stuff has a good vibe and they make you feel welcomed and appreciated. A lovely family hotel set over looking the mountains of Selva Val Gardena. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the service was wonderful. The hotel runs free shuttles to and from the ski lifts five minutes by car so no need to worry. Our room was spacious and newly renovated. Nspresso machine, great water pressure in the shower and heated floor in the bathroom. Only complaint was the pillows ( I like soft mushy pillows). There is a wellness spa which is great for relaxing the muscles after a day on the slopes. We took half board, breakfast was very good with a good selection of cold cuts, cheeses, cereals bread and cakes etc. Dinner was exceptionally presented (imaginative chef😀) and I really enjoyed the food. Also came back two kilos heavier so it speaks for itself. Thank you to everyone at Fanes for your welcoming service! Would definitely come back.
