New Can Furios Hotel by Can Calco Hotels

Stayed for a week, wonderful small hotel. Completeley out of the way (the roads do get very narrow. Food is Mallorcan and good. The staff are helpful, friendly and really make you feel welcome. If you want a real chill out this is a great place to be!

Dit hotel geeft rust en is ook volledig. Er is in het dorp niets te beleven buiten enkele andere hoteld. Er zijn ook maar enkele inwoners volgens mij. Dat maakt dat het hier ongelofelijk rustig is. Langs de andere kant biedt het hotel alles wat je nodig hebt. Een mooi zwembad met tuin waar je ook ontbijt en kan avond eten. Mooie kamers, fietsfaciliteiten. En een top service. Één aanrader.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr versteckt am Fuß des Tramutana Gebirges am Ende sehr schmaler Straßen. Es empfiehlt sich daher beim obligatorischen Mietwagen auf ein kleines Fahrzeug zurück zu greifen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden. Der Empfang und das Einchecken waren sehr freundlich und zügig. Die Suite oberhalb des schönen und kleinen Pools riesig und sauber und mit traumhaftem Ausblick ausgestattet. Einziges Manko : Die nicht abzudunkelnden Oberlichter im gefühlt 6 Meter hohen Raum. Dadurch ist die Nacht früh beendet und es wird schnell hell im Zimmer. Wir hatten Frühstück gebucht, welches traumhaft lecker und mit allem versehen war, was man sich wünscht. Frische Eierspeisen auf wunsch inklusive! Wir haben zweimal am Abend im zugehörigen Restaurant gespeist. Einmal davon das viel gelobte 5 Gänge Menu. Hier war der Preis von 42,-€/p.P für das gebotene m.E. jedoch zu hoch. Das Essen war lecker und frisch, dennoch nicht "meisterlich". Als Beispiel : Der gebratene Lachs war duch und das Spanferkel kalt und sülzig. Das Essen á la Carte hingegen ist sehr zu empfehlen und gut! Alles in Allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und die Ruhe und die Freundlichkeit vor Ort und im Haus als sehr angenehm und authentisch empfunden! Wir empfehlen dieses Haus absulut und uneingeschränkt weiter!!

On arrival we were shown to our room 106 for our 4 night stay with private terrace as requested. The room is spacious with twin beds put together as a double. Not a comfortable bed but adequate. The bathroom is large with a walk in shower. The shower leaks all over the bathroom floor due to poor drainage. The room and bathroom also smelt musty. There were no working outdoor lights to the patio or towards the main hotel with small steps. We reported the lights to the hotel and were offered candles. The outdoor lights were not fixed for our entire stay. Each evening we chose the tasting menu which was full of flavour well cooked and beautifully presented. Hats off to the chef some of the nicest food we have eaten. The outdoor dining is very nice and relaxing. The breakfast is buffet style which can be taken in the indoor restaurant or outside. Although if you choose to have breakfast outside you have to select your tray and carry this to your table, not ideal as there are a number of steps from the indoor dining area to the outside. Our main issue at the hotel was the lack of sun loungers available at the outside pool. You had to place your towel on a lounger early morning to guarantee a sun lounger. We raised our disappointment with the hotel and they said they hadn’t had any problems previously. Not sure this was entirely true. It was our understanding although the hotel wasn’t an adults only hotel it was quiet. Unfortunately for us the pool area wasn’t quiet. The pool is not suitable for children and it is certainly not suitable for ball games and children jumping in and out of the pool. The hotel confirmed they have requested further sun loungers from their head office. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would probably return at some point. Minor disappointments which could so easily be fixed. The staff work extremely hard and are a credit to the hotel. We would urge head office to look at details to ensure guests do not have cause to complain.

Room 106 smelt strongly of damp. Uncomfortable bed with poor linen and towels. Inadequate ventilation in wet room. Very disappointing after many happy holidays at the ‘Old’ Can Furios. Limited staff but the few we met, were first class. Food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) good. Coffee machine at breakfast was ok but would have preferred personal service and a pot of coffee to be provided. The New Can Furios lacks the interaction of its owners for what is sold as a small personal hotel.

We stayed here for 4 nights for our mini-moon. The loacation is in a lovley peaceful setting, the hotel itself has been reonvated since the previous owners and is stunning, it's the prefect getaway from the typical tourist traps! Sunbathing around the pool is the most relaxing expereince with the lovley terraced gardens, stunning flowers, amazing scent and wondeful wildlife- the little humming moths are mesmorising to watch. You can also hear the bells of the local sheep grazing the orchards. We stayed half-board and would fully reccomend this, it's great value for money, you don't have to worry about going out in an evening and finding anywhere. It includes a 5 course tasting menu and the food was amaxing, we definitely didnt find anything better elsewhere whilst eating out during the day. There is pool service during the day you just need to knock on the kitchen door and the staff will deliver you an ice cold drink. I can't not mention the staff- they honestly make this hotel, they are so attentive, work really hard and go that extra mile to make you feel so welcome and part of the family. We left with the most amazing memories and after 4 days felt like we had been away much longer it was that relaxing. 100% we will be back and have already recomment this to our friends! We stayed in room 107 and the private cabana added to the expereince!
