Nature lovers dream I lived at Jal mahal a beautiful cottage on the lake in the buffer zone of Rukhad. It was quiet and serene. It’s comfortable and well stocked. The lake has birds, dear and yes also tigers the come to drink. In fact my 1st tiger sighting was in the same zone of the mastic tiger JK. The best part of the stay is the team of Rukhad jungle camp, warm helpful and amazing hosts. Sougato the naturalist accompanied me for my safari’s and was knowledgeable as well as insightful. They are good people. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The location in the serene beauty on the lakeside, that's Jalmahal. The efforts by the Courteous staff right from reception to transit and at Jalmahal make your stay relaxing and memorable. The food was so delicious, enjoyed it. One most important thing is a Jio sim in jungle keeps you connected. Only one suggestion : keep some dry snacks and fruits , maybe on chargeable basis. Thanks Team Jalmahal.

Stayed at jal mahal, and the location and service are botth exceptional. Mohit is always there to iron out any issues. Will surely be staying here again. The location is unbelievably beautiful with great opportunities for bird watching and photography

Amazing stay at the jal mahal in rukkad jungle camp. Highly recommended this stay n the property is right inside the buffer zone. The staff is super courteous n the food is Amazing. We were here for two nights n really enjoyed it..the food comes in from bison restaurant and they take care of everything. Rohit and Mohit from their team are Rockstars.

Where else would you dream of being woken up by a tiger roaring in the dawn? Not once but on two consecutive mornings! And shine a torch to see it walk ***** and sit on the opposite bank of the lake right from your balcony! A mere 50 meters of water separating the tiger from you! We saw tigers from our room thrice, a leopard while returning from the restaurant and of course other wildlife and birds. The Rukhad area is beautiful and not very commercial and safaris are quite fulfilling. The room is cozy and very comfortable and the service (especially from Rohit) was excellent. Good food too. Would rate it 6/5.
