Siringit Migration Camp by Mantis

Ik was hier in augustus en verbleef hier voor 3 nachten. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik vond het wel raar dat de gamedrives standaard vrij laat beginnen. Ik ben al vaker op safari geweest en normaal gezien starten de gamedrives vroeger. Vooral voor fotografen is dit belangrijk. Het eten is zeer goed. Als ik het personeel en de keuken vergelijk met Serengeti kamp is de kwaliteit van dit kamp op een hoger niveau dan dat van het Serengeti kamp. Het personeel van het Serengeti kamp is goed, het personeel van het Migration kamp is uitstekend. Er heerste ook een goede (safari)sfeer in het kamp. Mijn gids was Eugene. Over mijn gids hou ik gemengde gevoelens over. Het is een jonge gids met potentieel. Ik heb ook een kill gezien onder zijn begeleiding. Echter hij heeft de sighting van de enige crossing gedurende mijn periode daar verknoeid. We stonden op de ideale plek om de crossing te zien, maar hij vond het nodig om toch even anders te gaan kijken. Ondanks mijn bemerking dat er een groep gnoes aankwam en dat die er bijna waren. Ik vroeg dus ook of het wel een goed idee was om weg te gaan. Geen probleem, we zouden op tijd terug zijn. Niet dus. Ik heb de crossing dan van heel ver gezien. Ik had bovendien sneller door dan Eugene dat de crossing bezig was. Zijn gezicht sprak boekdelen. Dit kan gebeuren, maar de attitude nadien geeft me toch een wrang gevoel. Claimen dat de andere sightings de gemiste kans compenseren. Probeerde hij zichzelf te overtuigen. Nu waren de andere sightings redelijk tot goed. Maar ik was vooral daar om crossings mee te maken. En dan de enige kans grotendeels gemist te hebben...

As a solo traveler, my lunch experience at Siringit Migration Camp in Kogatende north Serengeti was nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere was peaceful and beautifully quiet ,the perfect place to relax and soak in the Serengeti’s beauty. The staff were warm and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, turning a simple lunch into a memorable moment. If you’re looking for a serene escape with exceptional service and delicious cuisine, this is the place to be.

Spectacular entrance… beautiful view of the lake….location is truly in the middle of nowhere…tents artfully placed… food excellent… service is amazing…giraffes strolling below… eagles nearby … lions heard in the night… absolutely wonderful

It's not often thatI rave about a hotel, but I'm going to rave about our stay at the Siringit Migration Camp. Somehow, in a remote location, the warm and friendly staff here manages to get it all right. Any problem, they want to know about it immediately so it can be fixed. The tent was comfortable and beautiful and the food was delicious. How often can you have a cocktail at the end of the day in front of a bonfire and watch giraffes go by? Don't miss this beautiful place.

What an amazing stay we had! Everything was 5 Star - the accommodations, the view, the food, the staff ! John took care of our family of 8 and he is the best - he shared his knowledge of the area, the animals, his country - this made our experience even better. Issak and Livingston also made our stay great - we had an unforgettable "Sundowner Experience" on the Serengeti that was unforgettable! We heard animals at night, but never felt unsafe, woke to the sounds of birds and were treated like the finest guests, yet felt like we were with family. Such a wonderful place to stay and feel like you are part of the Serengeti. It was hard to leave and say goodbye to everyone there as we were serenaded by the staff as we left! The only sour note was one family who stayed for a night or 2 who were incredibly difficult and rude to the staff. So sad to see people behave badly when you are in such a beautiful place!

We loved our stay here! The staff was lovely and the accommodations are comfortable. Eugene as our tour guide was the highlight of our trip. I can’t stress this enough - if you can request him make sure you do! He makes sure you get close but safe to all the animals and is excellent at spotting things from far. He also ensures your overall experience is enjoyable.
