Very nice place in the middle of the Savanna - what a breath of fresh hair. We requested to meet the chef who turned out to be Chef Vinaya. We requested him for an Indian vegetarian meal and he prepared an outstanding spread of an Indian meal for dinner at a short notice. Most delightful experience. John in the service staff stood out in terms of service

Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt mitten in der Serengeti! Wir haben nur eine Nacht in dieser traumhaften Zelt-Lodge verbracht und wären am liebsten länger geblieben. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und vom überaus freundlichen Personal bestens umsorgt. Man merkt sofort, mit wie viel Leidenschaft hier gearbeitet wird. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir unseren Kellner Ian – er war super freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns hervorragend betreut. Das Abendessen war hervorragend – frisch, köstlich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war ein wunderbarer Start in den Tag. Die Natur rund um die Lodge ist spektakulär: Die Geräusche der Serengeti beim Einschlafen und Aufwachen sind ein Erlebnis für sich. Die Zelte sind sehr komfortabel und gleichzeitig authentisch, sodass man das echte Safari-Gefühl genießen kann. Ein kurzer, aber unvergesslicher Aufenthalt – wir können diese Lodge uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

We had such a wonderful stay! Every member of the staff was warm and welcoming, and Baraka, who looked after us during our visit, was absolutely fantastic. The views were stunning, and we even got lucky enough to see a giraffe strolling past our window one morning. It was such a special experience, and we’d love to come back again!

Sametu Camp in central Serengeti provided a wonderful experience. The delicious, local, chef-prepared food; setting, housing, amenities, staff, and host (Ramadhan) were all outstanding. Ramadhan quietly insured the high quality of all aspects of our stay from our welcoming greeting, beautiful & fun sunset happy hour to our goodbye song. I smile remembering Sametu Camp & Ramadhan. I encourage visitors to seriously consider Sametu.

We went there and were amazed by the service. Food was great and Baraka, who was our server, is fantastic. Baraka was there to greet us daily regardless of time we had to wake up. Really love the friendly staff and ambience.

This camp was 5 stars of excellence! The facility is beautiful as are the rooms. The staff is incredible. We spent two nights here during our safari. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone traveling through Tanzania. The food was best at this camp compared to all others that we stayed at. A special shout out to the chef, manager, all the guys working, and Johnson for extra special service!
