The best location at Bay of silence and best dining! You cannot beat the super terrace facing the enchanted bay, the kindest welcome and experience from the moment you chrch in! Super attentive management and staff will make memorable your stay! Foremost, you will have the most incredible dining experience at the Vistamare restaurant, where chef Andrea Mancini will share with you with phenomenal dishes/ some of best food you eved had! Kudos to Andrea! And of course the kindest and professional support from maitre Francesco, barman Angelo and the waiter Simone… everyone devoted to great dining experience! Thanks Helvetia for a great staying!

The setting is lovely. Best hotel in town. Awesome view from restaurant and nicely decorated. Great location next to Bahia del Silenzo. However, that’s where it stops. The restaurant was terrible, avoid. Don’t understand other reviews. All our dishes were yuck. Highly recommend Portobello instead. Rooms are small which we knew but booked sea view and were given garden view but told it was sea view because you had a sliver of ocean view. When we complained and were given sea view but no balcony (the website shows only balconies), they threatened to remove us from the property. Horrible, misleading website and terrible attitude. So be VERY specific on what you want. Ask for bay view with balcony. They’re the best thing in town owned by a family so they have lots of attitude. They scolded us when we were late for an outside dinner reservation, seriously?! Pool is freezing cold and loungers have no view and there are lots of flies. Beach area is tiny and packed. Bathrooms are very narrow as it’s old property. Overall, best bet when visiting Cinque Terre but max for 2 nights. Won’t return but would recommend for Cinque Terre if you’re very specific and don’t put up with their terrible attitude.

Hotel di grande fascino con eleganti suites e giardino. Vicino al mare e alla baia del silenzio. Luogo elegante e con una storia. Ho trascorso tre notti con mio marito. Era il regalo per il suo compleanno. Nei piccoli anfratti dei muri le rondini le sera entravano e uscivano con un gran garrire gioioso.

L’Hotel ha una posizione eccezionale. Basta attraversare la strada per essere in spiaggia ed è sufficiente percorrere un breve viottolo per essere nel pieno centro del paese. Da subito siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e calore. Il servizio e’ stato perfetto e veramente non ha avuto nulla da invidiare alle strutture a cinque stelle nelle quali abbiamo soggiornato prima di arrivare all’ Helvetia. Voglio esprimere i miei sentiti complimenti a tutti i lavoratori dell’albergo per la professionalità e capacità di lavorare al meglio per rendere l’esperienza del cliente piacevolissima. Si sono anche resi disponibili a darci consigli su dove mangiare bene qualora non avessimo voluto approfittare tutti i giorni del loro ristorante. Alla fine abbiamo deciso comunque di mangiare li e devo dire che le cene sono state buonissime e anche in questo caso accompagnate da un ottimo servizio. Ottime le trofie al pesto e la mousse ai tre cioccolati. Le stanze sono luminosissime, con alti soffitti decorati finemente. Gli arredi sono senza pretese ma di assoluto buon gusto. La nostra aveva anche un terrazzino con sedie, vista spiaggia. L’ultima sera siamo saliti alla terrazza bar dalla quale e’ possibile trascorrere la serata guardando suggestivo paesaggio. La piscina e’ molto carina, e fondamentale se non si desidera stare in spiaggia nelle ore piu’ calde. Ultima nota ma fondamentale: l’albergo e’ pulitissimo in ogni angolo.

Finalmente ho fatto pace con la Liguria … Un albergo elegante, curato e gentile, professionale ed ospitale dalla proprietà fino a tutta la maestranza. Menzione speciale per colazione e per il ristorante “Vista Mare” prossimo ad una stella … Grande il “primo” … Ioselito!

The perfect hotel to stay in the Italian Riviera. From the brightly colored yellow striped awnings to the restaurant perfectly perched on the hill, this hotel was the quintessential place to stay overlooking the magical Bay of Silence. The view from our room was just short of a once in a lifetime dream. Staring out our window the water sparkled and all of the tonal peach and terracotta building colors blended together perfectly with the subtle ocean breeze. The small pools were delightful for our children and the service was excellent. We loved our stay!
