During various times of the year, these insects may find their way into the property. By booking you understand that is a possibility during your stay and understand that there will be no refunds related to bugs getting into the property. We will be happy to work with you to get pest control back out if necessary. Pool: The pool is open seasonally, tentatively from April - November. The exact pool opening and closure dates are dependent on weather. We cannot guarantee it will be open during your stay. Children must be supervised at all times at the pool. There is absolutely no diving or jumping from the waterfall. Swim at your own risk. There is no bathroom at the pool, we recommend driving down in case you need to get back to the cabin quickly **All guests must put away ALL pool toys in the bin provided and bring all trash and towels up the cabin. Guests will be charged an additional cleaning fee of $50 if these rules are not followed. No glass in or around the pool area *No Diving** **No Climbing on any fencing** ***No Climbing on or around the waterfall. The waterfall is essential for heating the pool; if it's not running, let us know immediately. ~No Access to the pool house at all. This is only for maintenance and management. By using the pool, you agree to our house rules and the terms in the rental agreement. Please report any issues or concerns so we can solve them as soon as possible. Driveway: -Steep driveway, no 4WD needed during normal road conditions. 4WD may be needed during inclement weather. It may be helpful with the fall leaves or snowy winter days. -Please be aware the driveway is pretty steep and has a sharp switchback near the center of the hollow. - If the driveway is icy, DO NOT use the driveway. You will have to access the cabin without the vehicle. Many of our guests say that they only had to pack their clothes and groceries. Or better yet, use one of our concierge services and have groceries delivered and put away before you even arrive! • You’ll find many little touches for an eco-friendly stay including recycling and many all-natural products. • You help us make a difference in the local community, as with each stay, we donate to support kids entering the local foster care system. • You’ll have access to our whole home with the exception of the storage closets (2 in the lower level and one in the loft bathroom). • There is ample parking for several cars in the driveway. • Check-in is a breeze with digital locks, while your custom door code provides safety. • If you are bringing a pet, this must be included in your booking so that the applicable pet fee is included in your rate. As we're in a rural mountain area, neighborhood dogs have been known to venture onto our property. Please keep your dog leashed or allow them to enjoy the upper deck or the fenced area out back. Please also be courteous and pick-up after your pets. We also provide pet blankets, towels and a vacuum so that you can help protect our cabin. We provide a 42"L x 27"W x 29"H crate and ask that you kindly crate your pet when unattended. • The last mile of the drive to the cabin is a two-way, one-lane road. It is steep and curvy. Locals are great about sharing the road and we ask the same courtesy in return. • We recommend AWD in January and February, as our driveway is also steep and curvy. • There are no refunds for weather. We suggest you consider purchasing travel insurance for possible cancellations. • Per our house rules, you will be required to sign a renter’s agreement at the time of booking where a copy of your ID will be requested. Please be sure your name, photo and birth year are visible. If you would like a copy of the renter’s agreement prior to booking, please ask. As part of your reservation, you will receive accidental damage protection for up to $1,500 (exclusions apply). We kindly ask that you inform us of any damages in a timely manner so we can start the remediation process. If the damage was caused by negligence, breaking of house rules or it falls under the exclusions, it may be withheld from your security deposit. Again, communication is key. One on the lower deck facing towards the driveway. One on the corner of the upper deck facing over the driveway. One on the back side of the house facing towards the A-frame. One on the back porch facing over the grill. • Safety is paramount to us! Therefore, we've thought of every detail so that you don't have to worry while on your vacation. You'll find things like flashlights, mini lanterns, first aid kits, fire extinguishers and emergency escape ladder all strategically placed should an emergency arise. During certain times of the year, there is an elevated fire risk in the mountains, and burn bans may be implemented.
