Agelia Beach Hotel

Hotel is in a nice location on the beach with a few nice places to eat locally. We had a car and would have been lost without it as there isn’t much to do in the doorstep but if you want a “fly and flop” holiday it’s a good spot. The hotel was very clean and the staff cleaning rooms were lovely and did a great job. The beds are very comfy too which is a bonus. The hotel though is what I would class as a UK three star. The staff are grumpy and you barely get a smile from most of them, even when you try and engage. The restaurant manager just likes talking to tables of young girls and you don’t even get a hello from him. The food is not great and is limited with quite alot unlabelled. Drinks are served to the table but you often cant get anyones attention to order a second drink. We saw the chef smoking in food prep areas behind serving stations which wasn't great either. in the evening they play music via YouTube so you hear constant adds - not good. Drinks are in plastic glasses even when not by the beach so in the evening you cannot even enjoy a drink out of a real glass. I loved Crete but wouldn't go back to this hotel.

Comfy clean rooms, nice beach! Front of hotel was bad though, rubbish everywhere. Food was not hot, and was practically the same every day. Staff seemed grumpy except a few waiting staff. Had to go to shop for water, not easily done for older people. lots of trip hazards and tatty sun loungers. Table tennis next to the restaurant with kids running in between tables to get ball back, very annoying when trying to eat. Much can be improved on, definitely not a 5 Star.

Wróciliśmy tydzień temu z wakacji w tym hotelu. Pobyt oceniamy 5/5! Widok z pokojem na morze. Codziennie sprzątany pokój. Smaczne jedzenie, każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Menadżer sali na wysokim poziomie, uśmiechnięty, chętny do rozmowy. Personel i obsługa również pomocna i uśmiechnięta :) Nie spodziewaliśmy się, że będziemy mieć pokój w nowo dobudowanej części. Wielkie zaskoczenie. Elvis robi najlepsze drinki! Wielki plus za plażę przy hotelu! Spędziliśmy piękne wakacje. Dziękujemy i pozdrawiamy! :) Chętnie wrócimy!

Nous y sommes en ce moment, très déçu, alors les chambres rien à dire , propres, belle vue mer.. Par contre pour la nourriture très répétitive...pas jus d orange pressé au petit dej (pour un 5*) Et le summum , aucun bar d'ouvert le soir, donc apéro entre amis vous oubliez... les soirées sont longues rien â faire c est triste.. Ah aussi pas assez de transats sur la plage , tous sont pris dès 7h du matin (les serviettes servent de réservation) Vraiment hyper déçu.. 5* et tout inclus zéro ...

TLDR: Wonderful place, breathtaking sea view, tasty food, great service, great drinks. Hotel employees do the maximum to make sure you are comfortable. I would recommend this to both couples and families. Details: The beach area is very nice and connected directly to the pool area between hotel buildings. The beach and sea are mostly sand, with some pebbles on the beach-sea intersection. There is an appropriate number of sunbeds and a shower to get rid of the salt. The bar by the pool is really close to the beach and serves fizzy drinks, beer, cocktails, coffee, snacks(pizza, sandwiches, cakes etc…) The pool almost fills the space between the buildings and it’s a nice alternative to use in days when the sea is wild. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an all you can eat style buffet that includes a very nice assortment of dishes every time. The employees come and ask you what you want for a drink and clean the tables from used plates and such. The rooms are very nice and clean and some have the Seaview and some have direct access to a pool. Overall, our experience was very pleasant and we most definitely would come again.

We moved to this hotel after a disappointing booking elsewhere. What a find! A magical experience here at White Olive. Shout out to Mr. Cristos, the hardworking friendly manager, Despina the friendly front desk manager, and Christina the always smiling server. When we were not on excursions we had relaxing days by the pool and beach. The food and drinks are included and the buffet too. Amazing food at breakfast lunch and dinner. So sad to leave.
