This stay truly made me feel right at home. While the facilities and decor were decent – nothing particularly outstanding – the real highlight was the service, starting from the moment our car entered the hotel premises. We had someone assist with parking, help with luggage, and were offered welcome fruit and tea before a smooth check-in. Every interaction with the staff felt unique; there was so much attention to detail and genuine warmth, unlike anything I've experienced before. I even received a personal reminder for the evening snack. And when I had an urgent company call right before check-out, needing to handle some business, they kindly extended my check-out time, granting me valuable extra minutes. It was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming!
From the moment we stepped into the Citigo Huangpu, we were impressed. The staff greeted us with genuinely friendly and welcoming smiles, setting the tone for our entire stay. Check-in was quick and efficient, getting us to our room without any hassle.
The room itself was a delight—modern, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The highlight was the fantastic view of the Shanghai skyline, which was especially beautiful at night. Each morning, we were welcomed with a complimentary coffee before heading out, a simple but much-appreciated touch that kick-started our days, whether for business or pleasure.
The hotel's greatest asset, besides its wonderful staff, is its location. Having such easy access to the popular Bund was incredible; it made exploring the city's highlights an absolute breeze. I would highly recommend the Citigo Huangpu to anyone looking for a great, well-priced hotel for their Shanghai visit. We can't wait to return!

The lobby on the first floor features a co-working space, a lounge area, and a restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
My originally booked room wasn't available, but they offered a complimentary upgrade. I noticed there was no screen on the window. The staff initially offered to move me to an adjacent room, but I preferred the orientation of my original room, so I decided to stay put.
Breakfast is served from 7 AM until 12 PM, which is the longest breakfast service I've ever encountered; most hotels finish by 10 AM. They also offer late-night supper. The buffet breakfast provides a rich variety of dishes, including both Chinese and Western options, catering to all tastes.
The room wasn't huge, but it was well-equipped with everything you need and very clean.
There's a small gym on the 9th floor, accessible by stairs from the 8th.
The location is incredibly convenient. It's just a 10-minute walk to Nanjing West Road and Taikoo Hui, and also very close to the US Embassy, making it a popular choice for many visa applicants. There are also many fantastic local eateries nearby, like Xie San Bao 😊

I stayed in Shanghai for two days, with the first night at the Deep Pit Hotel and the second here. Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was excellent. It had a very cozy feel, and the service was great. Personally, I found the experience here far better than at the Deep Pit Hotel (which, to me, felt more like a novelty or a photo-op spot). At the Deep Pit, despite a large staff in the restaurant, the food was mediocre and didn't compare to other four or five-star hotels. This hotel's restaurant, however, was fantastic: breakfast was available until 12 PM, and they even offered late-night supper (wontons). The lobby also featured entertainment facilities. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance. Just a small suggestion: for breakfast, it would be great if the *youtiao* (fried dough sticks) could be cut into smaller portions. A whole stick can be too much for one person, leading to waste if it's not entirely finished or to their liking.
The place is quite nice, the rooms are cozy and have everything you may need. CityGo House is located a bit far from downtown (it takes around 30-40mins by subway), however the location itself is good, the subway station is very near, there are also many shopping malls around, where you can find anything you need.
The service though was not the best. It took a long time to check in with the foreign passport, the staff looked lost and confused. Their English is very poor as well.

My CitiGO Lujiazui Review -
✅ Unbeatable Location: Just steps from Lujiazui metro (Line 2/14), the Bund, and skyscrapers like Shanghai Tower. Exploring was effortless!
✅ Tech-Savvy Rooms: Loved the smart controls, monsoon shower, and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Compact but cleverly designed.
✅ 24/7 Social Vibe: The lobby café/bar buzzed day and night – great for solo travelers. Free midnight wontons were a delicious surprise!
✅ Staff & Service: Reception was upbeat and efficient. Extended breakfast (until 12 PM!) saved my lazy mornings.
Watch Outs:
❌ Room sizes are cozy (fine for 1-2 people, tight for big luggage).
❌ Light sleepers: Request a higher floor – street noise can drift in.

It was a very good stay at Citigo, the location is comfortable and the amenities and services are great. I booked it only for 2 days and ended up booking it for more. Really recommend.
The hotel is clean and modern. It is situated 5 mins walk to sanmen subway station (line no 10) so traveling to WUJIANGCHANG - the commercial hub is only 2 stops travelling.
The hotel provide good brunch from 7am- 12noon to suit different timing of customers. This is a plus point for most guests. Further, it also provide FREE supper from 10-11pm for people who need it. There is also a laundry room for use.
So, as first time customer, I am totally impressed with the service and standard!
The overall experience was great. These are some areas for improvement:
1) Cleanliness - I smelled foul smell (urine) but since I was too tired, I did not bother to change room. I did inform the front desk
2) Staff - Staff were friendly especially one of lady I interacted with. A few of the junior staff required more training and need to sharpen their English speaking skills. A guy by the nickname, 孔明, is especially helpful. He came to our room to resolve WiFi access issue.
3) Communication: There should be English version of documents if you expect more foreign visitors.

GGuest UserThe facilities of Huange Hotel are complete, the design style of the front desk is unique, and the design of the bar is novel. It is very unique and I like it very much. I will stay again next time I come back. I like it very much.
