The hotel is centrally located and is close to many tourist attractions. The location is easy to find if you need to call for rides. It is pretty close to metro about 7-10 minutes walking distance. Some of the decors in the hotel have a vintage feeling of Old Shanghai but the facilities are modern. There is a sizable gym and free self-service laundry room but it is being shared with two other hotels so it can get a bit crowded during peak hours. Room was clean and big enough to lay out some luggages and depending on the room you have, you may get a nice view of Nanjing East Road. Bathroom area was spacious and clean while shower and toilet were also nicely functional. Bed was very comfortable and cozy. There is conveniently a robot to deliver takeout food to your room. Taobao packages can also be delivered there. All in all, it is a very nice hotel at the price point in the middle of the city with everything I needed. Nice and helpful customer service really added to the experience as well especially Lin Feng (林枫)and his colleagues! Lin Feng went above and beyond giving me tips about how to have an enjoyable stay, how to navigate the laundry room, and helping me book with them a second time etc. I would not mind staying here a third or more times when I'm back in Shanghai again.

Amazing location right on Nanjing pedestrian street. Shopping malls and eateries all within walking distance.
Staff are friendly and respectful.
We asked for a quiet room and it was sorted out very quickly and we were even able to check in a little earlier. A special thank you to the lovely gentleman Alex at front desk who is professional, helpful and is an absolute star ⭐️
Our room on level 5 though having no view was nice and quiet and as described online. The walls are quite thin so you can sometimes hear people next door/upstairs etc… but not too much to ruin the stay.
Breakfast was ok. Lots of Chinese and western options so even a fussy eater will find something to eat.
Keep in mind if you are being dropped off/picked up by a taxi, it will be done on the street as there is no off road spot at the front of the hotel.
Only one lift to enter the hotel which can be a little crowded. Lobby is on level 4.

Location was good, service was good. Just to mention their centralised air-condition system, every traveller has their own comfortable temperate to feel relax, crowne plaza always kept it at 25 degree in the summer and made it stuffy to sleep well at night. Despite they had a wall-mounted adjustable temperate controller, it was not working. The last time we stayed was during the winter and they kept the temperature at 25 degree and kept the windows shut, which forced us to change hotel at the 2nd night and forfeited the rest.
This would be the last time i booked with this hotel.

It was a very comfortable stay for my first trip to Shanghai. The staff were all very kind, and although their English was limited, they provided attentive and satisfying service. The location is convenient, about a 15 minute walk to the beginning of Nanjing East Road. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money!

This is my third stay at the Hotel. It has so many positive aspects! The main one is staff. Lin and others was extremely helpful and professional during my stay. This wax a shorter stay and the great location allowed me to do everything I had to do and even had time for other activities. Breakfast is very good and with many options. My third time there, hope there will be s fourth one soon! 😁🫶

First off, huge thanks to the amazing staff here: Lu, Li, and Shu! 💕 They’re all so kind, approachable, and generous. Even the cleaning ladies are the sweetest. One time, I had to rush out and left my clothes in the washing machine, and one of them kindly moved them to the dryer room for me. Such a thoughtful gesture that really shows how much they care for guests.
This is honestly the BEST hostel I’ve ever stayed in when it comes to location, cleanliness, amenities, and hospitality. It truly feels like home.
✅ Location
Perfect! Super easy to find on both Google Maps and Amap. The hostel is only a 2-minute walk to People’s Square Subway Station and Nanjing Road, with restaurants, bars, spas, malls, and a 7/11 nearby. I also love that they have an English sign outside super helpful for tourists. Many hostels here don’t even appear on Google Maps (since it doesn’t work in China), so it was a nice surprise this one does. For accuracy though, I recommend downloading Amap, it’s reliable when exploring the city.
✅ Cleanliness
Definitely five-star level. The shared bathrooms and showers are cleaned and sanitized every hour, and the sinks are always wiped dry so your stuff doesn’t get wet when you set it down. That small detail makes a huge difference! They even have a dressing room just for touch-ups, so rare in hostels. Bedsheets smelled fresh, and they gave me clean ones for every night of my stay. And instead of thin blankets, they provide duvets! Such a HUGE plus. As someone who always gets cold feet, that little touch honestly made my nights so cozy and comfortable.
✅ Amenities
They’ve thought of everything. There’s a small gym and yoga studio on the 3rd floor (right next to my room 348 😅), both clean and convenient. Each room also has designated lockers to keep your belongings safe, which gave me so much peace of mind.
There’s also a common station if you want to study or work. But the best part? FREE laundry. Yes, free! Detergent included. And the kind cleaning ladies even help you dry your clothes in the dryer room. They also provide a steamer if you need to iron, which is so much better than the usual bulky ironing boards.
✅ Atmosphere & Hospitality
The vibe here is amazing. It doesn’t feel like just a budget stay it feels like a community. The staff genuinely care and go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. Every little detail from helping with laundry to greeting you with a smile makes you feel welcome and cared for. The lobby is cozy and a great place to meet fellow travelers if you’re social, but it’s also quiet enough if you just want to relax.
I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels, but this one stands out. The combination of a perfect location, spotless facilities, thoughtful amenities, secure lockers, and the warm hospitality of the staff makes it unbeatable.
If you’re planning to stay in Shanghai, I HIGHLY recommend this hostel. For the price, the value is incredible: prime location, super clean, free laundry, a gym, secure lockers, and staff that truly treat you like family. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip. ❤️

Hotel :
Was going to cancel my booking at this hotel after I checked-in. Coz e lift lobby of my room was filled with smoke smell. Our room was also super small (unlike what I saw online). But was impressed w e service. After I feedback e lobby smoking smell was gone immediately. The newness of e hotel made me stayed through e 6 nights.
Rather small hotel. Realised that’s it’s Atour LITE on another site. Not grand. Simple. New. Clean. Small lobby. All e nice official photos shown online are just taken in a good angle, showing spacious nice decor. But in fact are just some small corners of e hotel lobby.
Room:
Our queen bed room was rather small. Just sufficient to open up 2 large luggage. Room is clean and new.
Toilet has a separate shower and toilet bowl and wash basin and kitchenette all in 1 row.
Location :
Short convenient walk to Nanjing Road.
Small entrance to hotel so may be difficult to find e hotel for e 1st time.
Breakfast :
Bought breakfast at e hotel for 2 days. Not worth e price. Spread is limited. Thou food is acceptable. Would suggest to book without breakfast and eat out. Convenient to find simple Chinese food around e hotel. Many small eateries lining e street. Or walk to Nanjing Road for bigger restaurants. Or just order food delivery.
Supper :
There is complimentary porridge supper with all e preserved condiments. Simple.
Water bottles :
Drinking water bottles are provided outside e lift lobby of each floor. So saved us lugging water from e convenient store.
Rainy days :
Met with thunderstorm on a few days. Hotel provided free use of umbrella and rain coat.
Didi :
Easy to get Didi but e small hotel lobby is in front of a small road. So Didi can’t stop and wait. Will have to be quick alighting and getting on Didi.
Lift :
Hotel is a preserved building. So only have 1 lift. Have to wait a while for e lift.
Staff :
All front desk staff are young people. Helpful and energetic. Helps with food and package delivery sent to lobby.
Booking :
Didn’t receive any gift as indicated on Trip.com upon booking.

Stayed at the Seventh Heaven Hotel recently, and here’s my take. The location was undeniably excellent (5/5), making it a breeze to access nearby attractions and business hubs—ideal for business travelers. However, cleanliness (3/5) and service (3/5) were average. While the rooms were habitable, they lacked the sparkle one might hope for, and staff, though polite, weren’t particularly proactive. Amenities (2/5) were a letdown; limited offerings and outdated facilities left much to be desired. In summary, if location is your top priority, this hotel works. But don’t expect luxury in amenities or standout service. With some tweaks to cleanliness and upgrades to facilities, it could shine brighter. For now, it’s a functional choice for short business stays, but manage those amenity expectations.

JJeandre CorneliusHotel was great. Lots of cool bars and restaurants nearby. Not too close to nanjing road that is too busy. But close enough to take a 20min bicycle ride and enjoy the city life. Offer free coffee and popcorn in the check in area and the room is very spacious

GgilwGood location and clean. Have a family room (1 full size and 1 single bed) is a big plus for families. But the service is slow. Taking more than 20 min. to check in. And it cannot allow the refund when we changed the mind for not eating the breakfast there. Overall it is nice hotel but the elevator is kind of weird setup.
GGuest UserThe homestay near the Bund, a famous tourist attraction in Shanghai, really exceeded my expectations. There is a small observation deck where you can see the beautiful scenery of Pudong. The whole room is decorated very carefully and fully meets the needs of family outings. The service during the stay was also humane. Come and experience other styles next time👍

GGuest UserFantastic location! The subway station is incredibly close, and there's a bus stop right by the hotel entrance, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The service was exceptional; they even gave us a souvenir and small gifts upon departure. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! 👍
GGuest UserThe front desk staff provided excellent service. This is my preferred hotel every time I visit Shanghai. It's spotlessly clean, and I'm also a loyal member here.
Facilities: All amenities are comprehensive and well-maintained.
Environment: Excellent. Directly across the skywalk is Riyueguang Center Plaza, offering incredibly convenient dining and shopping options. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dapuqiao, Shanghai, and hope they'll consider making it their long-term choice too, as it's my favorite and offers fantastic value for money.
SSkulsiriwattanaOur room are at the 2nd floor. It has very loud noise every early morning from garbage collecting truck. The room isn't soundproof so you can hear everything start from 5AM. Overall facilities are ok.

GGuest UserThe room was newly renovated and very clean. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, even giving us a complimentary room upgrade. The hotel is also conveniently located, just a 300-meter walk from Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street. We had a really pleasant stay overall.

SSilencerrrrIt is very close to the subway station. There is a convenience store nearby. The location is excellent. The room is spacious, comfortable, clean and tidy. The TV system is very new and easy to use. The small desk is also very convenient. I really like it!
AAnonymous UserLet me talk about the bad aspects first. The facilities are really the most shabby hotel I have ever stayed in. Although I didn't have much expectations for hotel facilities in the center of Shanghai at this price, after actually entering the room, I found that all the facilities and furniture were not just shabby. The good thing is that the hygiene is quite attentive, the service at the front desk is still good, and the soundproofing of the hotel is better than expected, which is also related to the layout of the room. In addition, the location is very good and it is very convenient to get everywhere.
