Staying in the he KunLun Grand Hotel in Jing an Shanghai, was the best experience ever. The best location in the center of Shanghai, 2 mins to the Metro station. Staying in the hotel, is the best choice also , all the staff I met is very courteous, and they tried best to help me with everything, such as carrying luggage, best room to suit my needs, guide me to the place where I can go. The cleaner was very nice, she always made my room very clean and neat. Further more, the price of staying in the hotel, is reasonable. I enjoyed the Shanghai view from my room window. I will definitely to going back and stay in the best hotel, if I travel to Shanghai again.
Thanks for all the staff I met :Mr Zhou, Mr Wang, Ms. Wu, including some staff who I didn't know their names.

Good location near the Louis shop. The hotel gave me a higher floor as I’ve informed that it was my boyfriend’s birthday celebration. They even decorated the bed with swan towels and flower petals. Great service! Will rebook if i intend to stay in the same area.

Let me start by saying: I'm deeply dissatisfied. I saw a five-star rating on Trip.com, but my actual stay fell far short of what that standard implies. For this price, there are many other hotels with more professional management. I also question Trip.com's rating criteria.
**Facilities:** The room size was one issue, but the bathroom vanity design was truly impractical. There was no space for common toiletries; they had to be crammed onto a tiny ledge. Furthermore, there was no waste bin near the sink, which was very inconvenient. When the overhead shower was turned on, water sprayed everywhere instead of coming down in a steady vertical stream. The room window had two or three panes, but the lock on one of them was broken. The sharp edges of the bed, combined with the narrow aisle, actually scraped a layer of skin off my leg, posing a safety hazard. And then there's the door: once opened, it wouldn't close automatically, unlike any other hotel door, which is another safety concern.
**Service:** On the first night of my stay, a Saturday, there was loud noise from downstairs until 1 or 2 AM, making it very difficult to sleep. It was then that I realized why there were two earplugs placed beside the bed. I wanted to change rooms, so I went to the front desk the next day. I was told that it was too late to change room status. My question then is, what if there were unavoidable issues like a leaky pipe, a power outage, or a door that wouldn't close? The front desk simply told me it would be 'better today' and that weekends are generally noisy. In reality, when I tried to sleep, I could hear every sound from downstairs perfectly clearly. I strongly advise light sleepers to avoid this place.
Not to mention, the cleaning staff would sit in public areas on their phones, and during breakfast, staff members would stand in front of the food chatting amongst themselves. The entire breakfast experience felt utterly disorganized and unprofessional.
**Positive aspects (though few):** The complimentary meal looked decent (though I won't dwell on the fact that I was initially told I could eat it before 6 PM upon check-in, only to be informed at 5 PM that the restaurant was already closed, and it was only delivered to my room after I questioned them). The location is between two metro stations, both about a 15-minute walk away, and it's quite a distance from the core commercial area of Jing'an Temple. If you're traveling with family members who have mobility issues, I'd suggest choosing a hotel closer to a metro station.
Finally, with the exception of a few proactive cleaning staff members who greeted me, none of the other hotel staff made me feel welcome. This really puzzled me; isn't a good service attitude the most fundamental professional quality for service personnel?
**Summary:** Having stayed in dozens, if not hundreds, of hotels both domestically and internationally, I rarely leave negative reviews unless I'm truly disappointed. Moreover, my own family operates a brand hotel under Jinjiang Group, so this stay left me profoundly disappointed. I hope the management genuinely commits to improving things, and I will also report this to the platform. This definitely does not meet the standard of a five-star hotel.

I had an excellent experience staying at the Moller Villa. Free welcome gift in each room is a bonus . All staff were friendly and provided great help. One female staff at the front desk was very considerate, upgrading one of my room to be next to my other room. The breakfast buffet had a variety of items that were all delicious. Also I enjoyed the hotel’s afternoon tea and two nights of dinner. It’s worth listening to the detailed story of the moller villa through the complimentary tour. The hotel’s structure is unique and the view is beautiful . It’s a wonderful place for taking pictures . In summary, I had an excellent experience staying at the hotel; definitely recommend to my friends. When I checked out , Cristian Guo and Devin Jiang were very kind to offer two small free gifts . Thank you very much.

This was my second stay at The PuLi Hotel. It perfectly embodies understated luxury and boasts an excellent location. The rooms are exquisitely designed, featuring incredibly comfortable bedding, and the attention to detail is impeccable. The service is attentive and personalized, and the executive lounge offers outstanding food and beverages. It's truly a tranquil oasis amidst the city's bustle, and I will definitely choose it again for my next trip!

The room was excellent! Despite being renovated 13 years ago, the facilities are impeccably maintained. Closing the sliding wooden door to the bedroom made it feel incredibly cozy and comfortable. Opening the curtains revealed the Shanghai Bund skyline right from the bed. Traveling with my parents this time, we appreciated that an extra bed could be added in the living room. While it was a bit basic, it was perfectly fine for sleeping. Breakfast on the 55th floor was excellent, and the views were stunning! The hot dishes were better than those offered on the first floor. The fruit and ice cream rotating display in the first-floor restaurant was quite interesting. Overall, it's definitely worth experiencing!

Amazing experience in intercontinental! The room is so big and everything is so comfortable!
The only downside is you have to go down to the lobby to collect your parcels/food.
Otherwise everything else is amazing :)

We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights in this hotel. It was a pleasant and happy stay in Kempinski Shanghai Downtown.
All crew members' service was extremely good.
My daughter was sick and need assistance to the hospital in the midnight, the counter crews were very helpful by helping to search for appropriate hospital and well arrange transportation for us.
The housekeeping aunty, Rose Zhu, was very good and caring. She let us feel like at home. She gave a lot of kind advice for our sick daughter and prepare extra 2 bottles of water for our sick daughter.
The rooms were spacious, bed and pillow was comfortable.
It was an enjoyable stay. Thumbs up to the crew members.

For a designer hotel, the service genuinely exceeded my expectations. It deviates from the typical service style of traditional luxury hotels; instead, the reception staff treated me more like a 'friend' in need, actively going above and beyond to help. As I'm quite open-minded, I found this to be a rather positive experience, though I understand that personal preferences vary.
The room facilities were incredibly innovative, such as the pull-cord light switches. The 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows beautifully framed the LV boat design, and the ambiance created by the combination of dispersed lighting and New Chinese aesthetics was truly impressive. Numerous thoughtful small details were also present, like a Dyson hairdryer and even small dumbbells, ensuring guests could maintain their fitness routines. All in all, it was a very satisfying stay.

GGongqiIs the Ritz-Carlton trying to position itself alongside hotels like Hilton and Pullman now? Seriously, the hygiene, facilities, and service were truly subpar across the board. On the first night, the room we were assigned had a terrible stench, exactly like a dirty public restroom.
We waited for over half an hour to switch rooms, only to be given another room that reeked of mildew. The bed was noticeably damp, and it was clear the linens hadn't been changed. What's more, the complimentary bottled water had already been opened! But it was too late and we were too exhausted to request another change. So, I called the front desk and informed them that I would need a different room the next day—one without any odd smells and with a dry, clean bed.
The next day, after returning from lunch, we were told our new room still wasn't ready. Around 2 or 3 PM, when we were about to leave, I called the front desk again. They said the room was ready and they'd send someone with the key card (it sounded like I was talking to the operator, not the front desk directly). We then waited for 40-50 minutes, but no key card arrived. I called again, and the operator seemed surprised, asking, 'It hasn't been sent yet?' She said she'd follow up. Another twenty minutes passed, and still nothing. I called *again*, emphasizing that we were in a rush to leave and asked them to transfer our luggage for us. The operator asked us to please wait a little longer in the room, assuring us someone would be right over. After *another* considerable wait, the front desk called and said, 'Actually, your new room isn't ready yet.' Are you playing games with me?! Honestly, staying here was beyond frustrating! The pervasive mildew smell was truly nauseating.

GGuest UserI had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel!
First off, the location is superb. It's just a 7-8 minute walk from the subway station, situated right by Suzhou Creek. The area is incredibly peaceful, both morning and night. With the windows closed, you barely hear any outside noise, which made for a very restful sleep. The lobby is also very spacious and bright, featuring a sophisticated dark green color palette. The ambient scent was delightful, making it very comfortable to relax in the lobby.
The facilities are well-maintained and feel brand new. The air conditioning in the room was incredibly powerful, providing ample cool air without any sudden temperature fluctuations. The smart TV allowed for super-fast screen mirroring from my phone, making movie nights in bed wonderfully enjoyable. Additionally, the round bathtub was quite stylish; hot water came instantly with excellent water pressure, ensuring a very comfortable bath. Plus, the drain was efficient, preventing any water from pooling. The hairdryer was a powerful, branded model, drying my hair in just a few minutes.
The service was truly exceptional. Yesterday afternoon, it started raining when I left, so I asked the concierge for an umbrella. Nick, noticing I had several people with me, generously offered two. Very thoughtful of him! When I ran out of bottled water in the room, I made a quick call. The operator, Fanny, had someone deliver fresh bottles in less than three minutes, even suggesting on the phone, 'Take two extra bottles just in case.' Such excellent attention to detail!
Cleanliness was also top-notch. There were no strange odors upon entering the room, and the bed sheets and duvet covers looked pristine white and clean, feeling wonderfully soft with absolutely no post-wash stiffness. The bathroom's glass doors and mirrors were sparkling clean. The toilet seat was automatically heated, and while it's summer, I'm accustomed to heated toilet seats year-round, which is a very welcome feature for me.
Overall, this stay was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit – it offers fantastic value for money!

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, featuring two comfortable beds and plenty of room. The view from the 18th floor was excellent and very expansive. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly; hotel personnel greeted us warmly upon arrival, and the bell staff promptly assisted with luggage storage. The hotel lobby was grand and impressive.
Surprisingly, floors four and five house a lively food street, a cinema, and a children's play area. The location is superb: right outside, there's a bustling shopping street, an RT-Mart supermarket is next door, and Jiuguang Department Store is just a minute's walk across the road. Shanghai Railway Station is only two subway stops away, and Tongji University Tenth People's Hospital is a mere four-minute walk. The nearest subway station is also just a six-minute walk.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I hope the hotel continues its excellent service, though I would suggest that the room carpets could use a thorough cleaning.
