"Overall it’s one of the better hotels in central Shanglin overlooking a man-made lake with a walk / run track around the perimeter.  Close to night market and restaurants.  Only reason I don’t give an excellent rating is that our first assigned room was dirty (sticky floor) and had some damage.  We got moved across the hall and the second room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet.  Not sure why we were such a poor room when the hotel had plenty of rooms available.  Breakfast buffet was satisfactory - good bowl of noodle soup and fried eggs available."

"I recently managed to steal a moment from my busy schedule and finally made it to Shanglin, a place I've been longing to visit!! I'd been wanting to go to this off-the-beaten-path resort for ages! It's about a two-hour drive from Nanning city center 🚗~🍃🌳 Environment: A must-visit for fresh air! The air is filled with the sweet scent of the mountains and forests!! The floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning mountain views, it's incredibly relaxing! The rooftop terrace has a panoramic view, perfect for taking amazing photos~📸 Cleanliness: Newly renovated, the facilities are excellent, and the room even has a Panasonic hairdryer! The smart toilet seat was warm, which was very thoughtful. Service: The front desk, butler, and other staff were all very welcoming and responsive. Breakfast was prepared quickly, and the freshly cooked beef brisket noodles were authentic. 🍜 Afternoon Tea for Two: The afternoon tea included desserts, preserved plums, freshly cut fruit, and hot tea, which could be delivered to the room. Enjoying it by the floor-to-ceiling windows was very chill and relaxing. 👌"

"The courtyard is cozy, charming, rustic, and natural, with a homey feel, reminiscent of the farmhouses of my childhood. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the food was delicious. The rooms and courtyard were clean and tidy. Despite the cool weather with temperatures in the single digits, the room was warm even without air conditioning, with plenty of hot water. The fresh mountain air ensured I slept soundly until morning. The scenery of Daming Mountain, halfway up the mountain, is expansive and grand, offering panoramic views of clusters of villages and the everyday life of the people. A morning walk up the asphalt road reveals different vistas. Overall, a fantastic experience, highly recommended."

"The price is a bit high, and I thought it had a view. When I went in, I saw that the curtains were on the floor next to each other and I didn't dare to open them. I opened them next to someone else's B&B. The hygiene was okay, but the price didn't match the room. There was no curtain after I came up. There is only one swimming pool in the water source. If you want to play with the water in the water source, you have to go down the mountain, and the car is parked at the bottom of the mountain. It's very inconvenient, and I'm pretty much here just to breathe fresh air and not think about anything else."
