Highly recommend!
From the first time I loved this place. The atmosphere is so friendly here, that I could feel like with the good friends. The owners are friendly and very helpful. And speak English. Comfortable beds, warm duvets, electric blankets. Clean bathrooms. Washing machine and place to dry the clothes on the terrace. Delicious food (vegan options too). Travelers from over the world. And very good location.Highly recommend!

A wonderful youth hostel right in the heart of Shangri-La’s old town. The location is perfect—on a quiet little street, yet just steps away from all the amenities. The hostel is very clean and pleasant. There is a restaurant that serves good breakfasts, as well as both Chinese and Western dishes.
And finally, the owner who welcomed us—or at least the person who did—was very friendly and also spoke English, which was really helpful for giving us advice on what to do around Shangri-La and how to get to each point of interest.
I highly recommend this hostel, and we plan to return after our stay in the surrounding area of Shangri-La.

The pace is really nice, unfortunately our room was really dirty. It's a shame because the place is nice and the hosts are lovely, the bathroom was very smelly, but it may be that it was because they just changed the toilets. But the room was extremely dirty. We also found rotten lemons behind the bed and the toilet bin had dirty toilet paper and pads from previous users.

Room design was nice and bed was extremely comfortable and good to sleep in. Public toilets and showers are clean and location is superb too, in the middle of dukezong ancient village. Staff was super friendly and helpful and can speak English.

The Tavern is such a homely place! The owners are incredibly nice. The atmosphere in the room and the eating area is very friendly.
The location is also perfect, very close to the centre of the old town but without the noise.
The staff speaks English well and are very helpful. You can book trips directly with them to see the surrounding areas.

A home away from home. One of the best hostels I’ve been to.
This hostel is owned and run by a family and they really make you feel part. The facilities are great with hot water always available, rooms are cozy with electric blankets and heating, the food is delicious with a mix of Korean and Chinese food and a delicious shakshuka 🤤and the atmosphere is like no other. The location is fantastic, in the old town only a minute walk from the hustle and bustle but in a quiet side street. They also helped us loads with figuring out our next steps and booking tickets. Would recommend it a hundred times 🫶🏽
We moved three rooms because we always extended last minute but each room was equally as nice and they made the move a breeze by letting us check out and in to the new room at the same time.

Will definitely recommend to any of my friends and would come here again.
Great food and Christine the owner is a superwoman! Her English is great and she helped us a lot.
There were many international tourists and it had a great hostel-vibe
