"You might have an idea of what to expect from a hotel stay: to be greeted at the front desk, to have a bar and a breakfast service on the premises, to stay in a room which is serviced with fresh towels and clean linen... There's none of that here. We stayed for a week and some days saw no staff (there's a webcam in reception). There were tea and coffee making facilities in our room when we arrived but this was never replenished, the towels were never changed, the bed was never changed; the curtain was hanging off the rail; the bar downstairs was never opened. The website claims that breakfast can be booked for £10 per person but good luck finding anyone to book it with. There are a number of very pleasant hotels along Queens Road but sadly this isn't one of them."

"We only stayed 1 night (wish it could have been more!) but we were looked after from the moment we arrived.The chestnuts is in a great location,just a few minutes to the beach and to the shops in Shanklin. Our rooms were really nice and very clean,breakfast was excellent with a wide choice-what more could you ask for?!! Thank you Hayley & Nick for a lovely stay-hope to see you both again."

"فندق راق جدا من ناحية السعر هناك الكثير من الخيارات للسكن خاصة لكبار السن في المملكة . الغرف قديمة نوعا ما وكذلك الدرج ضيق جدا لا يوجد مصعد . حمل الحقائب غير مريح نوعا ما لكن لا تستفز اذا كان السياج خفيف لوجوده في جزيرة وايت لمدة ليلة واحدة. يقع الفندق في جزيرة هونغ كونغ الرئيسية وهو مناسب لإقامة قصيرة. كان الملفوف الرئيسي ودودا ووديا مع شعور بالراحة، مما يعطي انطباع بأنك في الجزيرة ينبغي أن تستريح قليلا والاسترخاء. كانت مفاجأة سارة للغاية أن يكون الإفطار هو كامل المغذية الإنجليزية، مع مجموعة كبيرة من الطعام يمكن أن ترقى لأكثر من نصف يوم سيرا على الأقدام."

"Lovely hotel, friendly staff, perfectly situated close to the beach and the Old Village. A small amount of free parking on site. Very impressed with the facilities inside the hotel - including indoor swimming pool, hot tub & sauna. Be careful with your choice of room, by selecting a non-sea view, standard room for 2 x people we were allocated an accessible room right next to reception/main entrance on ground floor, which was really noisy, with very little privacy. Such a shame as the rest of our experience there was so good."
