Stayed for two weeks at Coral Sea/HV Red Sea during June/July. We are a family of three (9 year old child). Egypt is a beautiful country and we found the Egyptians very friendly and welcoming. Reception staff are all approachable and happy to help. There is good security and the security staff are helpful, friendly and keep you safe - including walking you over the road (it's a scary road at times!) All staff work tirelessly and all are a credit to this hotel. I would recommend factor 100 for children in addition to sunsafe swim suits, the heat and UV are intense. Room: We stayed in a swim up room, the hotel were able to accommodate our request to upgrade from a room with den. The room was cleaned daily and we have no complaints regarding the cleanliness of the room. The room was spacious, beds are comfortable and shower is good. Pools/Beach We sat mainly around the activity pool to participate in the HV activities. The life guard team are amazing, I can not fault them! Many thanks to Mahmoud, Hasham, Zeyad and Terak who are the life guards around the activity pool - we will miss you! The HV day activities are good fun. The HV Entertainment Team are all extremely talented and take the time to chat with guests. HV day time activities were pretty good for adults as well as kids. My husband enjoyed taking part in the daily over 16’s water polo in the activity pool and also a break from the sun playing darts although they could do with updating the board and darts. The pool bar staff are attentive and amicable. Many thanks to the guys in this picture plus Hanny and Michel for always ensuring we were hydrated and for your continuous polite and good natured disposition! My only gripe is the noise generated from the Italian holiday company who also use the hotel. Their team have set up very loud speakers on the beach. When the music is on, it is deafening. Maybe the scheduling of the activities ran by HV and alpiclub could be reviewed as when there is conflicting music it is too much. Also, the speakers, when on at the beach, sometimes dominate the whole area as they are so loud - it would be nice to have an area to chill at the beach without having to listen to loud music. Food: After two weeks we are ready for a change. Whilst the food at the buffet is mostly nice and there are alot of options, it can be repetitive. Made use of the Food Court a few times for lunch which is sit-down, the food here is generally nice but menu differs slightly day by day. Visited the American Diner three times. The food was ok. Staff great. Visited the Indian once and we found the food to be awful however our opinion differs from other reviews and from those of other guests - maybe we were unlucky. Again, staff were good. Hotel could benefit from having a dedicated ice cream area. Excursions We done half day quad bike arranged by Falcon Excursions. Falcon are located over the road from hotel and we recommend them. Just been to the coral red sea (holiday village) the hotel is fantastic food and drink all excellent. Big shout out to mohamed in the lunch dinner funny guy and Hesham part of the recreation team around the pool both great with the kids and us as well all staff were great but these two stood out made a massive effort 👌
