Mahasu House

For the 19 of us ( spanning through 3 generations ) there could have been no better place than Mahasu house and the adjoining cottage . From our arrival to departure ,we were always greeted by warm staff always ready to serve with a smile . The rooms were par excellence with an eye for the smallest details . The views from room 2 and 4 extra fabulous . The different sit outs for breakfast ,dinner and relaxing were great . Anil and Tina ( the hosts) were very warm and helpful and even arranged a fabulous masseuse for us The attic play area took care of the little ones The gym ,TT n billiards were a plus Just a suggestion to them to add on a high tea and some snacks at a subsidised rate as the place is in beautiful woods and not much eating options nearby A home away from home we all would highly recommend

Superb location. Very nice place. Beautiful views, big rooms with full windows, very good service. Good food. Had gone with senior citizen. Main and only entrance of 20 something steps for entry and exit from the hotel was daunting for the elderly.

We stayed at this gem of a property ***** with friends for 5 nights. Believe me, it really was worth it. Besides the excellent amenities, it has what impressed me most was the quality of the staff. Every person working there seems to have been hand-picked by the owners Anil and Tina, who were fully hands on in running this property. The manager, Deepram and Chef Khoob Ram, require special mention for their zeal for their job. The property has so many cozy spaces to spend time. We had a fabulous time and couldn't have asked for anything more.

Mahasu house is an exceptional place from all angles... be it food, location, hospitality or comfort. The manager and staff, be it Lalit, Narendra or the other guys were always checking on us and ensuring that we were comfortable. The food was exceptional. They even made some.typical himachali dishes which we loved. For kids there is a lot to do... an attic full of toys and games, a games area with billiards and karaoke set, and lots of area to run around. For grownups they have ample bonfire places and a gym. A very well located place to stay...away from the crazy crowd, yet close to a number of places to visit. Would recommend this to everyone. Also to add, the conversations with the owner was very friendly and nice. You will get a lot of history of the house in some of the coffee table books around the beautiful drawing room.

Mashobra is a great place to visit if you want to be in the hills but prefer a quieter place and want to avoid the traffic and crowds of Shimla. Mahasu House was a wonderful experience for us. The property is beautiful with great rooms and views. The flora in the property this time of the year was simply gorgeous! The staff and GM are very warm, friendly and very helpful. They helped us by guiding us to plan our outings. There are some beautiful forest treks that one must explore. The food was very good with a good variety of dishes, and they were happy to customise for the kids. They organised a wonderful bonfire and barbecue for us; the kids also had a good time in the play room with table tennis and other games. They also organised a lovely picnic lunch for us ***** with a forest walk at the Shimla Water Conservatory. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place.
