I would be surprised if there is a better hotel on the Island. Maria's hotel ( more a welcome into her home ) is everything that you could wish for and more. It is beautiful, romantic and her breakfasts are wonderful. It is a great location about 200 metres from Kamares and the bus stops for Apollononia just outside. Oh and did I mention that is is ridiculously good value ? Only €75 per night.

Sifnaika Konakia is a family run place with only a few rooms and appartments in a beautiful set up overlooking the bay of Kamares and the countryside with privat and common terraces and a garden, olive and fig trees, palm trees and an open kitchen. It is in walking distance to Kamares and its beach; the bus to the capital of the island stopps opposite of it. The rooms are very clean and offer a fridge, hot water boiler, coffee maschine and plates, caps and cutlery for two. The beds are very comfortable. The owner, Maria, serves every morning a breakfast with home made jam, eggs, yoghurt and fruit salat and helps with anything you need. We have been there several times and love it!

Just left these apartments and we had a great stay Maria is lovely, so friendly - a little lacking on details when we first arrived however she made up with it with the cake at breakfast!! The rooms are basic but set in lovely gardens and only 5 mins from town/beach - total value for money

This was probably our 10th visit and it will not be the last. Great rooms with stunning views from the balconies over the bay and the port. absolutely fabulous breakfasts. Maria looks after everything and you are only a 5 minute walk from Kamares,

I cannot overstate Maria’s hospitality. She is so welcoming and charming. She bakes the pastries and makes the jams and knows all about Sifnos. The hotel is easy walking to the beach, the bus and village. The rooms and the property are nicely decorated and well-kept. I have loved my four days in Sifnos and my stay here.

Maria was the perfect host, very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The room or small apartment was very clean and comfortable, with cats and tortoises joining us for the excellent continental breakfast which was served to us every day by Maria and Elsa. The room was very traditional, everything worked including the aircon, very convenient to stay near the port and resteraunts etc. The only downsides are its not easy to find and the internet is not great, but this is a problem across the island.

Beautiful garden views
I really loved the gardens and enjoyed sitting out on our large patio gazing out over it to the sea. We were also close enough to be able to walk into town. A bus stop was also right across the street which was convenient. The only negative was that the bathroom was very small.
