Gangadiya Lodge

We booked this accommodation based on reviews (positive) and a description on the online booking website which didn’t quite match our experience. I would probably describe the accommodation as a good hostel but it was sold as a hotel. We knew it was a long way out of the centre but it advertised a bar and restaurant ( no such thing) Breakfast was served in an outside, undercover area and the quality was good plus very generous. The family who managed it were very friendly, helpful and kind but unfortunately it wasn’t the kind of accommodation we would normally book. The rooms were not the cleanest and lots of mould and marks on the walls and ceiling. The bedding was very poor and appeared stained and one sheet had numerous holes in. This was rectified the next day but we were surprised at the general lack of care and attention to the bedding. It was quite disappointing and we checked out one night early.
