The breakfast was excellent and lived up to expectations—delicious and well-prepared. However, the room and welcome did not quite match the standards of a 5-star hotel. The interior and amenities fell short of what was described in the booking details, which was disappointing. I kindly suggest that management address these areas to ensure consistency. "Nice hotel in Siliguri. Clean room, friendly staff and pretty well maintained. We had a comfortable one night stay here. Friendly front desk staff. We did hear a lot of street noises at night but not sure if that was due to Diwali celebrations outside or if it is always noisy. But it did not disturb our sleep too much though. Located on a busy street, not any great restaurants near by or any grocery stores nearby. Since we were there only for a day, it did not matter to us. WiFi was ok. In the restaurant, lot of menu items are not available and many items we asked for, was not there for dinner. The breakfast also for some strange reason is exactly at the prescribed time. if you have an early morning flight then your options are really not there. Generally in most hotels they do open buffet early at 630 - 6.45am if the start time is 7am and you can actually start off with tea or coffee and some breakfast 15 to 30 minutes earlier. But this place does not allow that. Maybe this is something that they can work on, to make it easier for the guests."

"I recently stayed at Royal Sarovar Portico, Siliguri, and overall had a very pleasant experience. A special mention goes to the restaurant team, especially Smriti, Kanchan, and Sadna, who were truly outstanding. Their hospitality, attentiveness, and willingness to assist made a significant difference to my stay. The service provided by them was top-notch, and they consistently went the extra mile to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. Their professionalism and warm approach deserve appreciation. The hotel offers a comfortable stay, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff members I interacted with were courteous and helpful throughout my visit. There are a few areas where the hotel can further enhance the guest experience: * Room freshness and odor control can be improved. * Pillow cover cleanliness could be given more attention. * Mattress quality may benefit from an upgrade for better sleeping comfort. * Some old stain marks visible in room corners and certain areas of the property could be addressed as part of routine maintenance. These are relatively minor observations and did not significantly impact my overall experience. With attention to these aspects, the hotel can further elevate its standards. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would like to thank the team, especially Smriti, Kanchan, and Sadna, for their exceptional service and hospitality. I look forward to visiting again."

"I stayed for a night and I literally had to wait and give 3-4 reminders for simple things such as food menu, dental kit etc.. and despite of giving several reminders… the items which I requested for never arrived…. I could not even order some food in the room in the evening as I was not provided with the menu even after giving 3 reminders.. and later on after almost half an hour, the food menu arrives when it was already too late as we had decided to eat outside only… staff needs training, lots of miscommunications happening between them… staffs should know the fact that morning time is very cruicial for all the guests.. hot water, towels, dental kit all of the bathroom ammenities should be on point.. I asked for a dental kit in the morning as I had to get fresh and check out.. the information I recieved from the reception was “We do not provide dental kit in deluxe rooms” which I agreed to and also told them that I’ll pay if it is chargable. They agreed to provide me one dental kit on a chargable basis which again never arrived… Small things like these matter a lot… Very unsatisfied with the service…."

The one issue is for anyone wanting to use it as a transit point to and from Darjeeling is the cost of a cab to the railway station is exorbitant- coming from the airport which is 3 times the distance is almost half the price!!!"
