A friend and I spent a week at a two bed apartment overlooking the pool, with an RCI exchange. The apartment itself had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The sofa and chairs would have benefited from an update, however the beds and mattresses seemed newer and were very comfortable. Also the bathrooms appeared to have been updated more recently. Lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower As some others have commented, soundproofing to the next door apartment was poor (not great when you can hear your neighbour using the bathroom). The apartment was exceptionally clean, as was the whole resort. At 8am every morning, a cleaning team spotlessly cleaned the area around the pool and worked hard to keep it spotless. The staff in the restaurant and reception were friendly and helpful. There is a walk back up the hill to the resort, which would be a challenge for some but we are relatively fit and enjoyed it. The beach about 15 mins walk and there is a regular bus service. The bus service is good, very cheap but slow as they make so many stops. We visited Marbella and Mijas, which involved two buses and 1.5 hours to visit the village which is about 15 miles away! But it was beautiful and worth the journey - we weren’t in a rush. We didn’t hire a car and managed to go what we wanted and have a break too. All in all, it’s not glamorous or showy, but if you want a break in the sun at a clean resort, it’s a great choice.

The resort was nice, alittle far from the beach, lots of sleep hills and a little far from malaga city ( taxi and Uber both about 60 euro). Overall though had a great time. Pool was wonderful and down the hill there were restaurants and shops. Recommend the Italian restaurant little Italy for dinner and Jill's den for breakfast.

rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Marbella Crown Resorts was truly disappointing. The rooms are extremely run-down and clearly haven’t been maintained in years. Everything felt old and outdated — from the worn furniture to the faulty fixtures. There were visible stains on the walls, and the overall cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. Noise was another major issue. You could hear everything from outside, making it nearly impossible to relax or get a proper night’s sleep. The lack of soundproofing is unacceptable for any resort, let alone one affiliated with RCI. To make matters worse, the on-duty manager was disrespectful and dismissive when we raised our concerns. Rather than addressing the issues professionally, we were met with attitude and indifference — not the kind of treatment guests should receive. As an RCI member, I was shocked at the poor standards here. This is easily one of the worst RCI-affiliated properties I’ve stayed at. The resort needs a complete overhaul, both in terms of facilities and customer service. Until serious improvements are made, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

We enjoyed our staff at the Marbella Crown Resort. We used it as a base to visit other locations: Ronda, Sevilla, Cordoba, Jerez, Almeria. It was very convenient. Staff members were nice. Our unit was smaller than anticipated given the description in RCI, but it met our needs. The complex was around the corner from at least 10 restaurants and we tried almost all of them. The beach was about a 20 minute walk. It's worth a stay.

Very disappointed with the standard of rooms here. The lounge looks like an old people home with a sofa bad that sunk so low that it’s was too uncomfortable to sit on. The other seating were two winged back plastic chairs. The bed and mattress had sunk in the middle which made it hard to sleep. When I complained, they just put a mattress topper on it. I’ve had a painful back the whole week. Apparently there are lovely modernised rooms here but they put us in one of the old rooms. The walls are so thin, we could hear the people talking in the apartment next door. The room hasn’t been cleaned once during our weeks stay. They don’t even provide shower gel in the bathroom. There are a few bars and restaurants on the doorstep and a short talk to the beach. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again unless I was lucky enough to have the renovated rooms. I can honestly say it is the worst RCI apartment I have ever stayed in.
