Princess Resort, Santikos Collection

We stayed at this hotel in June 25. We were met with a really warm welcome. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Konstantinos who went over and beyond during our stay. The hotel was extremely clean and our room spacious and comfy. The hotel is on the beach with plenty of beds. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice . All the staff were helpful, polite and friendly , a special thank you to Katie who welcomed us at breakfast every morning and is very informative about the island and the best places to eat/visit. There are plenty of tavernas on the door step . A fantastic hotel to relax at. We enjoyed it so much we have re booked for next year. Thank you all at Skiathos princess

Beautiful hotel, fabulous sun beds, delicious breakfast. Perfect setting, rooms well appointed, great shower. Very helpful and friendly staff. Zero stress. Stayed a week. Lots of nice places to eat nearby and a little shop for essentials. Bus stop just outside so perfect for getting into Skiathos town. Can’t wait to come back.

Great beach front location and on the bus route to town Many restaurants walkable if you don’t fancy the bus which at times was like the London underground during rush hour Excellent quality sunbeds both on beach and poolside Fantastic breakfast selection Was slightly confused at beach restaurant as to why they had a separate seating area if ordering snacks at lunch rather than a full meal but served by the same staff Gym was very basic We would return

We enjoyed a beautiful evening at Ammos restaurant! The view is gorgeous and the food was so delicious! There was live music, also. Appetizers of crispy fried zuccini with tzaziki, pita, olives and mezze platter were beautifully presented and tassty.The crispy sea bass was extraordinary with spinach pilaf and a lime yogurt sauce. My friend loved the tuna steak with avocado. We loved our desserts, which were as pretty as they were delicious. We even got to meet the resort general manager, who was charming and gracious.

We were very impressed with this hotel from the moment we arrived. The hotel is set in some lovely lush grounds and it is right on the beach. Within a few hours from arriving we found that the shower wasn't working as the tap was broken. I called reception and they sent someone from maintenance to the room within minutes and the maintenance man replaced the shower tap immediately. Really can't ask for a better service than that. The room was lovely and was really clean although stepping into and out of the bath tub to take a shower was challenging. However, we heard that the bedrooms are currently being renovated and the bath tubs are being replaced by walk-in showers. The staff were very polite and helpful too. The food was really nice and although we were on a B&B package, we had lunch every day at the pool bar and we did have dinner one night in the beach restaurant and it was superb. There is a good selection of places to eat within 5 minutes from the hotel and there is a supermarket across the road. There is also a bus stop outside the hotel and the bus service in Skiathos is excellent. The buses run every 10 minutes or so. The only negatives are relating to anyone with mobility difficulties as there are no lifts and a lot of steps, stairs and ramps around the hotel and access in and out of the pool was via a vertical ladder. We did see quite a few people struggling with these. All in all this is a fantastic hotel and we enjoyed our stay so much that when we returned home we have booked to return next year.

Background. We have been coming to Skiathos for many many years and have chosen to stay at the Princess for quite a few stays. It was/is a favourite of ours. Reception Welcome from reception always with a smile and on check in we were given bottles of water (much needed) and a porter helped us with our bags to the room. Rooms Lovely size fresh towels every day and bed linen changed a couple of times. The air con was quite noisy however Breakfast Lots of variety some staff more attentive than other. Georgios was lovely and always there with a coffee for us. Beach I appreciate the sunbeds are part of the package and you don’t have to pay the €30 for 2 and an umbrella you have to on other beaches but really to come down in the morning to a dirty scruffy area I think could be improved. How much effort would it take to rake the sand over, brush the beds and straighten them up? Beach bar was excellent. Food good and drinks selection fab. We ordered a vanilla milkshake (€6) and it was fab lots of ice and a scoop of ice cream! Pool bar Service hit and miss and can be quite rude wanting to know room number before ordering etc. Ordered the same vanilla milkshake shake for the same price (€6) but no ice, no ice cream. When we enquired why it would not be the same as the beach bar the language barrier came down 🤷 Pool The life guard was excellent always watching what was going on and able to help. Issue with the pool was it opens at 9am yet for the most part the pool guys was still hoovering the bottom of the pool at 9:30. One day the pool went a funny colour and was shut for the morning then without any warning it opened again. I hadn’t seen any water checks done so I didn’t risk the pool but on our last day it was the cleanest it has been all week. I also don’t think they should be opening up the floor to go to the workings of the pool without suitable restrictions. See photos Overall I still like the place I just feel it’ll they are resting on their laurels a bit which is now allowing other hotels to catch up. Defo not a 5 star hotel
