The Fell Hotel

Everything about this stunning hotel is perfect. The location and views are awesome. We were staying for 2 nights on a Travelzoo deal. what a fantastic offer it was!!! Our room was so comfortable with a beautiful view. tastefully decorated with lots of little extras. Dinner was included on our first night. We were in the conservatory which looked down towards the village and the fells beyond. all the staff at The Fell were so friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet every one of them. A very mouthwatering choice of meals. Absolutely top class cuisine, beautifully presented. the food was so good we decided to eat at the hotel on our second night and again were not disappointed. Breakfasts were the usual high standard with lots of choice. We will certainly be revisiting the Fell and beautiful Burnsall village. We wish all the staff at the Fell every success for the future.

On checking in, was informed that there was no lift and we were on the top floor I am 80 yrs old with mobility difficulties. There was no mention of this when booking on line. Was told they were fully booked and no other room available. The room was so cold. The radiator needed bleeding. It was slightly warm at the bottom and cold at the top. A five minute job to fix. Was told someone would sort it, but it never happened. Asked for a heater but apparently another guest requested one but it didn’t work so nothing was available! Ended up sleeping in the bath robe to keep warm. On a positive note - the food was good. Disappointing experience.

What a stunning location. We enjoyed two nights here and the value for money on our Travelzoo Offer was outstanding. Our room (no 4 Cracoe) provided a wonderful view of the River Wharfe and the surrounding fells. It was warm and very comfortable. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and the evening meal was of a very high standard. Breakfast was very good too (eggs benedict - yum!) and served to the table. I personally like to choose my own cereal, fruit etc from a buffet, but that's just my preference. There are no lifts (as expected) so as we are older now, we were grateful with the help to carry our cases upstairs. My gold standard is always "Would I go back?" Yes please. As soon as possible!
