Blue Green Bay

Bartender and manager are amazing. I visited for the day and the food/drinks are amazing and the service is top notch. Nothing is too much trouble. They are so friendly and approachable. The hotel, bar, restaurant and sunbeds on the beach are so clean and well maintained. Highly recommend! I will be coming back!

Lovely location, basic hotel Firstly our holiday was fantastic, we visited 2 islands. This hotel on Skopelos was basically a room, and plain basic room at that but with a balcony. They was also a swimming pool, but the outdoor beach bar was a separate company which obviously have a deal with the hotel. There no other facilities, you are basically paying for the location on the beach (which is still very expensive for what you actually get). The view from the balcony was amazing. The amenities nearby were very basic, one very small supermarket and a few beach restaurants.

Overall a wonderful stay. Very private and not crowded, even at the end of July. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was right on the beach and WiFi even reached the water. Sun beds were free and very confortable. The only bad thing was that my friend felt sexually harassed by the staff at the pool bar. The owner of the bar brought a bottle of wine to her and made her come out to the beach to have a drink with him and she didn’t feel comfortable refusing, but she kept attempting to leave.

Absolutely paradise location, on Panormos Bay. We were extremely lucky to get a refurbished room, which was beautifully done. The views are simply magnificent. The lady on reception is extremely pleasant and helpful and is a credit to the Management at Blue Green Bay. We love it here but there is one thing that is extremely annoying and that the hard core dance music coming from the bar all day long. When you are trying to relax and chill out on the beach or around the pool, it’s really annoying and unnecessary, they should cater for all ages and not constant booming music. I do hope they can address this. Otherwise we love it here, don’t hesitate to book it.

Vraiment dommage que la chambre ne soit pas au niveau du lieu... L'endroit est magnifique avec la piscine et l'accès à la belle plage de Panormos mais la chambre n'est pas au niveau... La literie est dure , la décoration vieillissante et tout ne fonctionne pas... des choses sont cassées. Un rafraîchissement s'impose pour la chambre que nous avions au rez-de-chaussée . Le Petit déjeuner est moyen. Dommage car le lieu est unique

Last year this hotel was called “Ionisi”. I hope the new management has fixed some of the key problems. My stay at Ionisi was not worth even 1/3 of the 240 Eu I paid per night. In previous years I have stayed at much cheaper nearby “diamerismata” or “domatia” (rooms) that were far better. The good: Beautiful external architecture, nice pool, lots of beach chairs, very friendly staff The bad: Breakfast ok, not excellent. Could have more hot food (such as fried eggs, *warm* cooked vegetables (instead of at room temperature), higher quality coffee. Room was tiny, no good place to put luggage so it’s usable (could store bag vertically, but this is not practical; could not clothes empty into drawers as there was only ONE TINY drawer per person); had to place luggage on part of bed. It took 10-20 min to get hot water, EVERY time, because we’re (as we were told) at “end of line of hotel rooms”. Broken shower holder; during the first day we discovered this caused flooding in whole bathroom. Linen was put beautifully on bed, but NOT MADE! We had to make the beds ourselves. That’s fine for ultra-cheap hotels but not at 240 Eu per night. And then each day they MOVED everything (luggage etc) ruining our careful organization that was necessitated by the tinyness of the room, apparently so they could create an artistic but useless sheet arrangement! I asked them to please not “make” our room anymore. Safe was too small to hold a laptop. Bedside lamp did not work (inspector checks after room is made but apparently didn’t catch thus, or chose not to have it fixed in time for us).
